Tunna, also Dunna or Atuna, was an ancient Anatolian city. In classical antiquity Tunna was known as Tynna. Today it is known as Porsuk Hüyük or Zeyve Höyük. Bronze Age In Bronze Age, Tunna or Dunna was a city under Hittites, Hittite rule. The major deity of Tunna was the goddess Ḫallara. Additionally, the storm god with the epitheton ''piḫaššašši'' was also venerated at Tunna. Iron Age In Iron Age, the city of Tunna was part of a city state called Atuna by the Assyrians. Kurti top is an upper garment worn in the Indian subcontinent encompassing waistcoats, jackets and blouses. Kurti In modern usage, a short kurta is referred to as the kurti, which is the attire of females. However, traditionally, the term kurti refers to waist coats, jackets and blouses which sit above the waist without side slits, and are believed to have descended from the tunic of the Shunga period (2nd century B.C.). Kurti & Doyle are a British scriptwriting team comprising Richard Kurti and Bev Doyle. They're best known for their work on fantasy television series such as BBC One's ''Robin Hood'' (2006), ITV1's ''Primeval'' (2007) and Sky 1's '' Sinbad'' (2012). Career Prior to their team up, Kurti directed short films and documentaries after training at the BBC. Kurti, Sudan
Korti or Kurti is a town in northern-central Sudan. In the Meroitic period the city appeared as Cadetum, Cadata or Coetum in Roman sources. The town lies about from Khartoum, on the south side of the Nile at the terminus of the Wadi Muqaddam. It is also known for being the centre location for the Shaigiya tribe. History In 1881, the Mahdist uprising led to Britain sending in an army in August 1884 under Garnet Wolseley in the so-called Nile Expedition to relieve General Gordon. Korti became a rallying point for British troops. In January 1885 a fort was built by British troops on the north side of the Nile, right in front of Korti. From here, the advance on the Nile and through the desert could take place simultaneously. Tinka Kurti ( Thani; born 17 December 1932) is an Albanian actress. Her body of work, spanning 60 years, includes more than 50 feature movies and 150 theatre plays has been awarded her with the People's Artist of Albania medal. Biography Tinka was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (then part of Yugoslavia) to an Albanian father and Hungarian mother. She was the oldest of four children. At a young age her family returned to the city of Shkodra in northern part of Albania. It is in Shkodra where she would spend most of her life and join the theatre at a young age. In 1947 she was expelled from the Liceu Artistik (School of Arts) in Tirana and was never able to graduate. However, this did not stop her from pursuing her acting career. Albin Kurti (; born 24 March 1975) is a Kosovar Albanian politician and activist, serving as the Prime Minister of Kosovo since 22 March 2021, having previously served in that role between February and June 2020. He came to prominence in 1997 as the vice-president of the University of Pristina student union, and a main organizer of non-violent demonstrations in 1997 and 1998. When Adem Demaçi became the political representative of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Kurti worked in his office. Shtjefën Kurti (24 December 1898 – 20 October 1971) was an Albanian Roman Catholic priest killed during a period of communist persecution. Kurti served as a priest during a volatile period for his nation in which communist repression saw the persecution of priests and religious alike which led to strict rules being imposed that prevented clerics from performing their duties. But Kurti continued to function as a priest was required which saw him arrested upon the accusation that he was colluding with spies. Kurti was arrested for the final time when it had been reported that he baptized a child which was forbidden for priests to do under the regime. He was sentenced to death and executed by firing squad. Kurti was beatified alongside others killed during the communist repression on 5 November 2016 after their collective beatification was approved seven months prior.
