''Kurr'' ( Icelandic for "Coo") is the debut album by the Icelandic quartet amiina. It was released on March 21, 2007 by their own label, Bláskjár Records, after being preceded by the single "Seoul" in late 2006. The album was partly recorded in Sigur Rós' Sundlaugin studio. Amiina (formerly Amína, stylized in lowercase) is an Icelandic band composed of members Maria Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir, and Sólrún Sumarliðadóttir, Magnús Trygvason Eliassen and Guðmundur Vignir Karlsson. Seoul (song)
"Seoul" is the second release from the Icelandic quartet Amiina. It is also the first single from their first album, ''Kurr''. It was self-released on 6 November 2006 in Europe and released by The Worker's Institute on 7 November 2006 in the USA. In January 2007, it was made available on iTunes by the Danish label Rumraket. The 12" vinyl EP is limited and hand numbered to 1000 copies and contains a bonus track in the form of "Seoul" remixed by Frakkur (Sigur Rós' Jón Þór Birgisson's artist name when releasing solo material). ''Re Minore'' is an EP from the Icelandic string quartet amiina that was released during their 2009 tour. The title is Italian for D minor. Amiina have previously worked with Kippi Kaninus who also accompany the band on the EP together with Kjartan Sveinsson. The EP is limited to 500 copies and the music was recorded at Sigur Rós' Sundlaugin studio in Iceland together with Birgir Jón Birgisson. ''AnimaminA'' is the debut EP by Icelandic string quartet amiina. The EP was first published in early December 2004 by Smekkleysa in Iceland, and then in mid-2005 by The Workers Institute in the United States and Speak N Spell in Australia. Its title was a palindrome based on the band's name, which at the time of the EP's publication was amína. (It has now been changed to amiina to avoid disputes with another group of the same name.) Orri Páll Dýrason
Orri Páll Dýrason (; born on 4 July 1977) is an Icelandic musician. He was previously the drummer for Sigur Rós. He joined the band in 1999, shortly after the recording of the studio album ''Ágætis byrjun'', when the previous drummer, Ágúst Ævar Gunnarsson, left the band. Orri has recorded five studio albums with Sigur Rós: ''( ) (album), ( )'' (2002), ''Takk...'' (2005), ''Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust'' (2008), ''Valtari'' (2012), and ''Kveikur'' (2013).
