Kanji
are the logographic Chinese characters taken from the Chinese family of scripts, Chinese script and used in the writing of Japanese language, Japanese. Kunitake Andō (安藤 国威, ''Andō Kunitake''; born January 1, 1942) Chairman of BJIT Limited, became president of Sony Corporation in June 2000, having been an employee of the company since 1969. On March 7, 2005 it was announced that he would step down to become an adviser, with Ryōji Chūbachi succeeding him as president. Andō is from Aichi Prefecture and graduated from University of Tokyo. He first served on the board from 1994 to 1997, when he was removed as part of the massive reduction in the size of the board initiated by Sony president Nobuyuki Idei. He did not return to the board until he succeeded Idei as president, even though he was named Executive Deputy President and Chief Operating Officer in April, 2000. Kume Kunitake
was a historian in Meiji and Taishō period Japan. He had a son, Kume Keiichirō, who was a noted painter. Biography Kume was born in Saga Domain, Hizen (present-day Saga Prefecture), and was active in attempting to assist the administrative reform of Saga domain during the Bakumatsu period. After the Meiji Restoration, he was selected to join the Iwakura mission on its around-the-world voyage in 1871–73 as the private secretary to Iwakura Tomomi. In 1878 he published the ''Tokumei Zenken Taishi Bei-O Kairan Jikki'' ( 「特命全権大使米欧回覧実記」), a five-volume account of the journey, and of what he observed of the United States and Europe. Kume became a professor at Tokyo Imperial University in 1888, while contributing to '' Dai Nihon Hennenshi'', an encyclopedic comprehensive history of Japan. Viscount was a Japanese people, Japanese politician, cabinet minister and deputy prime minister, who lived in the Meiji period, Meiji and Taishō periods.
