Dharshan Kumaran
Dharshan Kumaran (born 7 June 1975) is an English chess grandmaster who has retired from ranked tournaments and is a neuroscience researcher collaborating with leaders in that field. He won the World Under-12 Championship in 1986, won the World Under-16 Championship in 1991. He finished 3rd equal in the World Under-20 Championship in 1994 and competed in the highest level competitions as recently as 2001. He works as a neuroscientist, specialising in research at DeepMind, an inter-body collaboration led by University College London. He has authored (mostly co-authored) 75 articles in this field as noted in Google scholar's library of papers in neuroscience (between 2003 and 2022). Keezhpadam Kumaran Nair (1916–2007) was a Kathakali artists from Kerala, India. Endowed and equip with a life profile that also show him to several traditional Indian performing arts other than Kathakali, his stage presentation infused a fresh breath into the four-century-old art form, thanks also to his broad and deep view about the Puranas (Indian mythology) that spurred from a constant pursuit of knowledge through reading books and engaging in talks in scholars. Kumaran Nair was one of the very few Kathakali artists to have had directly interacted with allied art forms like Bharatanatyam from south India and Kathak from the north of his country besides also Odissi from the eastern belt. Kumaran Asan
Mahakavi Kumaran Asan (Malayalam: എൻ. കുമാരൻ ആശാൻ) (12 April 1873 – 16 January 1924) was a poet of Malayalam literature, Indian social reformer and a philosopher. He is known to have initiated a revolution in Malayalam poetry during the first quarter of the 20th century, transforming it from the metaphysical to the lyrical and his poetry is characterised by its moral and spiritual content, poetic concentration and dramatic contextualisation. He is one of the triumvirate poets of Kerala and a disciple of Sree Narayana Guru.He was awarded the prefix "Mahakavi" in 1922 by the Madras university which means "great poet". Moorkoth Kumaran
Moorkoth Kumaran (1874–1941) was a social reformer, a teacher and a short story writer in Malayalam. Kumaran came from a Thiyya family of Thalassery, Kannur. He was a disciple of Narayana Guru and wrote the first biography of Guru. He initiated the installation of the first statue of Narayana Guru in Kerala when he was alive. Biography Murkothu Kumaran was born on May 23, 1874 into the Murkothu family of North Malabar. His father was Murkoth Ramunni, and his mother was Parappurathu Kunchirutha. His mother died when he was aged six and his father when he was eight. Kumaran grew up in his father's family. Education in Thalassery and Madras. He started his own magazine, Moderate. Sangili Kumaran
Cankili II ( ta, சங்கிலி குமாரன், translit=Caṅkili Kumāraṉ; died 1619) was the last king of the Jaffna kingdom and was a usurper who came to throne with a palace massacre of the royal prince and the regent Arasa-kesari in 1617. His regency was rejected by the Portuguese colonials in Colombo, Sri Lanka. His reign was secured with military forces from the Thanjavur Nayaks and Karaiyar captains. He was defeated by the Portuguese in 1619 and was taken to Goa and beheaded. With his death the Aryacakravarti line of Kings who had ruled the kingdom for over 300 years came to an end. Usurping the throne With the death of Ethirimana Cinkam in 1617, there were three claimants to the throne. One was Cankili II, a nephew of the king. Thirunavukkarasu Kumaran () (born 30 December 1975 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu), also known as 'Kenny' and 'Thiru Kumaran', is an Indian First Class cricketer & Cricket Coach. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He was a member of Indian World Team in the Indian Cricket League Twenty20 competition. Playing career Kumaran was a product of the MRF Pace Foundation under the personal training from Dennis Lillee. He also had some training at the Australian Cricket Academy in Adelaide.
