Arnie Kullman
Arnold Edwin "Arnie" Kullman (October 9, 1927 – June 11, 1999) was a Canadian ice hockey forward (ice hockey), centreman who played 13 National Hockey League (NHL) games with the Boston Bruins between 1948 and 1950 and 12 American Hockey League (AHL) seasons with Hershey Bears between 1948 and 1960. His jersey #9 is retired by the Bears. Personal life Kullman was born on October 9, 1927, in Winnipeg, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Kullman's grandson Justin is the former equipment manager of the Hershey Bears. He was also related to the late Ed Kullman, Eddie Kullman of the New York Rangers. Career Kullman made his professional ice hockey career debut with the Boston Bruins American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Hershey Bears, during the 1948–49 AHL season. Charles Kullman (January 13, 1903February 8, 1983), originally Charles Kullmann, was an American tenor who enjoyed a wide-ranging career, both in Europe and America. Life and career Charles Kullman was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and began performing in church choir at age eight. He attended Yale University, studying medicine. However, after graduating in 1924, he returned to his first interest, music, believing he could succeed in making a career as a singer. He was accepted at the Juilliard School on a scholarship where he studied with Anna E. Edward George "Eddie" Kullman (December 12, 1923 – March 15, 1997) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played 343 games in the National Hockey League, all for the New York Rangers. Kullman is related to former Hershey Bears player Arnie Kullman. Playing career Kullman played six seasons for the Rangers, including three seasons where he suited up for all 70 regular-season games. He participated in one playoff series, in which the Rangers were eliminated by the Detroit Red Wings in six games. A memorable incident in Kullman's career occurred against Maurice Richard and the Montreal Canadiens. While Kullman was being restrained by an official, Richard took the opportunity to attack him with his stick, sending Kullman to the ice on his knees. Elisabeth Kulman (born 28 June 1973) is an Austrian classical singer who has performed operatic roles in soprano, mezzo-soprano and contralto repertory. She has appeared at opera houses in Vienna and internationally. She has performed early operas such as Legrenzi's ''Il Giustino'' as well as new works, creating the role of Gora in the premiere of Reimann's ''Medea'' at the Vienna State Opera. She recorded Lieder by Mussorgsky, Bach's ''Christmas Oratorio'' with Peter Schreier and Beethoven's ''Missa solemnis'' with Nikolaus Harnoncourt. From 2015, she has focused on concert singing. Leen Kullman
Helene "Leen" Kullman (31 January 1920 – 6 March 1943 or 1978) was an Estonian agent of Soviet military intelligence in the Baltic Fleet during World War II. Early life Kullman was born on 31 January 1920 to an Estonian family in Tartu; she was the sixth of eight children of a shoemaker. Her father died in 1933, the same year she left secondary school and enrolled in the Tallinn Pedagogical School. After Estonia was annexed by the Soviet Union in 1940 she joined the Komsomol, having graduated from the Tallinn Pedagogical School in 1937, after which she enrolled in the Tallinn Pedagogical Seminary. She became certified as a junior secondary school teacher in 1941, shortly before the German invasion of the Soviet Union.
