Kula Gothralu
''Kula Gotralu'' () is a 1961 Indian Telugu-language drama film written and directed by K. Pratyagatma. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Krishna Kumari, with music composed by S. Rajeswara Rao. Acharya Aatreya wrote the dialogues for the film. It was produced by A. V. Subba Rao under the Prasad Art Pictures banner. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu certificate of merit in 1963. Noted actor Krishna played a sidekick role in the movie before becoming an established actor. Plot The film begins in a village where Zamindar Bhushayya (Gummadi) holds high esteem and adheres to caste and clan. K. Pratyagatma (born Kolli Kotayya Pratyagatma), also known as K. P. Atma (b: 31 October 1925 - d: 8 June 2001) was an Indian film journalist, director and producer known for his works in Telugu and Hindi cinema. He has garnered three National Film Awards. Personal life He was born on 31 October 1925 in Gudivada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Director K. Vasu is his son. He is also survived by his wife Satyavati, a daughter Tejo Latha in Bangalore and a son Kalidas in the United States. He died on 8 June 2001 in Hyderabad, India. K. Mikkilineni Radhakrishna Murthy (7 July 1914 - 23 February 2011) was an Indian actor and thespian known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He was the founder of the theater group ''Praja Natya Mandali''. He has received the honorary ''Kalaprapoorna'' from Andhra University, for his contributions towards Telugu theater and cinema. Srirangam Srinivasa Rao (30 April 1910 – 15 June 1983), popularly known as Sri Sri, was an Indian poet and lyricist who is known for his works in Telugu literature and films. Noted for his anthology '' Maha Prasthanam'', Sri Sri is a recipient of a National Film Award, a Nandi Award and a Sahitya Akademi Award. Pithapuram Nageswara Rao (5 May 1930 – 5 March 1996) was an Indian playback singer who worked in the early period of Telugu cinema. Madhavapeddi Satyam (11 March 1922 – 18 December 2000) was an Indian playback singer and actor who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He entered films as a singer-actor in Y. V. Rao's Tamil-Hindi bilingual movie ''Ramadas'' in the year 1946, playing the role of Kabir. However, he became more popular as a playback singer due to his booming voice.
