Kuberan (2000 Film)
''Kuberan'' is a 2000 Tamil language comedy drama film directed by Rama Narayanan and produced by N. Radha. It stars Karthik and Kausalya, while Mantra, Manivannan, Anju, and Thyagu play supporting roles. The music was composed by S. A. Rajkumar. Plot Kuberan ( Karthik) works as a tour guide in Kodaikanal and is the sole money-earner for a large family, which consists of his good-for-nothing father (Manivannan), the latter's two wives and their children, and Kuberan's sister ( Anju) and her unemployed husband (Thyagu). Kavitha ( Kausalya), a singer, becomes a new addition to the house when she is cheated off her money by Kuberan's father. Romance blooms between her and Kuberan, and Chandra (Mantra), who also harbors feelings for him, opts out. Rama Narayanan
Rama Narayanan (3 April 1949 – 22 June 2014) was an Indian film director and producer. In the 1980s, he was known as a director who specialized in shooting commercial films in which animals played vital roles, while in the 1990s, several of his films were based on Hindu devotional subjects. He has also headed the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) for three consecutive elections, before resigning in 2011. He died on 22 June 2014 at a Singapore hospital due to kidney-related ailments. Career Narayanan came to Chennai intending to become a songwriter, but he became a dialogue writer for films. He and his friend M. A. Khaja started to write dialogues together under the pen name Ram-Rahim. In 1976, Narayanan wrote his first story, screenplay and dialogue for the film ''Aasai Arubadhu Naal''. S. Krishnamoorthy (born 19 October 1953) professionally known as Madhan Bob, is an Indian actor and comedian, appearing in many Tamil films in supporting roles. Murali Karthikeyan Muthuraman (born 13 September 1960), better known by his stage name Karthik, is an Indian actor, playback singer and politician who works mainly in Tamil cinema.
