Kryvyi Rih City Council
Kryvyi Rih urban territorial hromada ( uk, Криворізька територіа́льна грома́да, translit=Kryvorizka terytorialna hromada) is a hromada (municipality) in central Ukraine, in Kryvyi Rih Raion of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The administrative center is the city of Kryvyi Rih. The municipality is governed by a mayor and city council which work cooperatively to ensure the smooth-running of the city and procure its municipal bylaws. The city's budget is also controlled by the administration. Administratively, until 2020, Kryvyi Rih was designated the city of oblast significance, which placed the municipality at the same level of administration as that of a raion, and thus directly subordinate to the oblast. On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was reduced to seven, and the status of Kryvyi Rih Municipality was subordinated directly to the enlarged Kryvyi Rih Raion. A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality. It was established by the Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. Similar terms exist in Poland (''gromada'') and in Belarus (''hramada''). The literal translation of this term is "community", similarly to the terms used in western European states, such as Germany ('' Gemeinde''), France (''commune'') and Italy (''comune''). Populated place in Ukraine ( uk, Населений пункт) is a structural element of human settling system, a stationary settlement, territorially integral compact area of population concentration basic and important feature of which is permanent human habitation. Populated places in Ukraine are systematized into two major categories: urban and rural. Urban populated places can be either cities or urban settlements, while rural populated places can be either villages or rural settlements. Pokrovske Raion ( uk, Покровський район) was a raion (district) of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, southeastern-central Ukraine. Its administrative centre was located at the urban-type settlement of Pokrovske. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to seven. Inhuletskyi District
Inhulets (or Inhuletsky) District ('' uk, Інгулецький район'') is the southernmost urban district of Kryvyi Rih City, central-southern Ukraine. Named after the river Inhulets that flows through the area.
