''Krummerne'', or ''The Crumbs'', is a Danish film series about the family Krumborg and particularly the boy 'Krumme' (Laus Høybye). They are loosely based on Thøger Birkeland's popular children's book series. The first film in the series, the eponymous ''Krummerne'', was theatrically released on 4 October 1991. Despite lukewarm reviews, the film was a commercial success with over 850,000 cinema admissions, becoming one of the most watched films of all time within Denmark. Sven Methling
Sven Johan Methling (or Sven Methling Jr.) (20 September 1918 – August 7, 2005) was a Danish film director and screenwriter. The son of actor and film director Svend Methling, Methling Jr. was best known for a series of light-hearted comedies. His 1959 comedy ''Vi er allesammen tossede'' (''All of us are Crazy'') received the Bodil Award for Best Danish Film. Methling also received the Bodil Award for Best Danish Film for the 1955 war drama ''Der kom en dag'' (''There Will Come a Day''). Career Sven Johan Methling was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on 20 September 1918. As the son of film director Svend Methling, Methling Jr. was born into the film industry. He started work as a sound assistant with Palladium Films from 1940 to 1945. Preben Kristensen
Preben Kristensen (born 14 March 1953) is a Danish actor. He first came to attention as one of the musical comedy trio Linie 3 in 1979. He was educated from the drama school of Aarhus Theatre in 1978 and has since the played at most major theaters in Denmark. Kristensen has starred in shows and plays including roles like Tony in ''West Side Story'', King Claudius in William Shakespeare's ''Hamlet'', McMurphy in '' One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'', George in ''Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?'', Arnold in ''Torch Song Trilogy'', Albin in '' La Cage Aux Folles'', Phantom in Lloyd Webber's ''The Phantom of the Opera'', and Max Bialystok in Mel Brooks's musical comedy '' The Producers''.
