Krumbach, Lower Austria
Krumbach is a market town in southern Lower Austria, Austria. It is part of the landscape Bucklige Welt. History Archaeological artifacts from the Stone Age, the Bronze Age and the Roman times have been found in the area. In 1182, Krumbach was mentioned for the first time in writing. The present castle Schloss Krumbach was erected in the 13th century. In 1394 Hans von Chrumbach, the last Lord of Krumbach, died and left the castle to his maternal uncle. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the plague and the cholera affected Krumbach. In 1854, it became a market town. In 1884, Krumbach opened a fire station. It has a post office, a school (Volksschule Krumbach), a high school (Hauptschule Krumbach) and a church. Illmensee is a municipality of the district of Sigmaringen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. History Illmensee was mediatized to the Grand Duchy of Baden in 1803, whose government assigned the township to the district of Pfullendorf. It was reassigned in 1843 to the district of Heiligenberg, which was dissolved in 1938 into the district of Überlingen. Illmensee expanded dramatically after World War II, particularly in the 1960s, when the municipality industrialized. In 1973, as part of , the district of Überlingen was merged into a new one based at Sigmaringen. Tettnang
Tettnang is a town in the Bodensee district in southern Baden-Württemberg in a region of Germany known as Swabia. It lies 7 kilometres from Lake Constance. The region produces significant quantities of Tettnang hop, an ingredient of beer, and ships them to breweries throughout the world. History Tettinang or Tettinac was first mentioned in 882 in a document of the Abbey of St. Gall. In the beginning of the 10th century the castle of the Counts of Montfort was built near the town. The town privileges were granted in 1294 by King Adolf of Nassau. The reign of the Counts of Montfort ended 1780 when they sold the county to Austria, along with Tettnang Castle to pay debts. The county became part of Further Austria under the house of Habsburg. In the Peace of Pressburg of 1805 it became Bavarian property which gave it to Württemberg five years later. Seßlach () is a town in the district of Coburg, in northern Bavaria, Germany. It is situated 12 km southwest of Coburg and has a population close to 4,000. Krumbach, Vorarlberg
Krumbach is a village in the westernmost Austrian state of Vorarlberg, in the Bregenz district. The municipality has about 1,000 inhabitants. Geography Krumbach stretches over an area of 8.71 km². It lies in the "Vorderwald", which is part of the Bregenzerwald. Two rivers, the Weißach and the Bolgenach, flow through Krumbach. Numerous peat bogs are a special landscape feature. Krumbach is a member of the German-Austrian community project Naturpark Nagelfluhkette. Culture The parish church St. Martin was built by local builders and consecrated in 1806. The church interior has primarily Baroque features, with later additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. The wooden Giessen Bridge, built in 1792, crosses over the river Bolgenach.
