Kromestar
Rajpal Singh Kalsi, better known as Kromestar, is a British Sikh dubstep and grime record producer from South London. Biography He is well regarded in both dubstep and the broader UK dance scene. Kromestar is most well known for his first album, ''My Sound'' which cemented him as a seminal producer in the genre. He later released his second album 2011 ''Colourful Vibrations''. In December 2013, the album ''Tears of Joy -'' inspired by the death of his son - was released, with proceeds going to charity. His style is known to vary quite dramatically, from the mechanised sound of his dubstep releases to the smoother sounds of sample-based grime, and an overall aesthetic of concise production. Deep Medi Musik is a British dubstep label founded in 2006 by artist Mala. The label describes the common theme between releases as “music that you can feel”. Silkie (artist)
Solomon Rose, better known as Silkie, is a British dubstep and grime record producer and DJ from Hammersmith, West London. Biography Having first produced UK garage and grime tracks in the early 2000s, Silkie came to prominence a few years later when he linked up with Antisocial Entertainment, who had started a show on Rinse FM. From there, he began to put out dubstep tracks on Antisocial as well as Deep Medi Musik. In 2009, he released his first album, ''City Limits Volume 1'', which attracted positive reviews from Pitchfork. This was followed up shortly after by ''City Limits Volume 2'' in 2011. Alongside several other EPs, he released a third album, ''Fractals'', in 2015, and a fourth, ''Panorama'', in 2021. Hatcha
Terry Leonard, better known as DJ Hatcha or simply Hatcha, is a South London producer and DJ notable for his seminal work in the musical genre dubstep. He is divorced from defected DJ Sam Divine. He had a regular show on the prominent pirate radio station Rinse FM in the early 2000s, before bringing dubstep to a wider audience with his regular show on mainstream radio station Kiss FM. Biography Leonard was the head buyer of the Big Apple record shop in Croydon, South London, which he ran alongside Arthur Smith (a.k.a. Artwork of Magnetic Man) and John Kennedy.
