The Snillfjorden is a fjord that branches off the main Hemnfjorden in the municipalities of Heim and Orkland in Trøndelag county, Norway. The long fjord starts at the village of Krokstadøra where the rivers ''Snildalselva'' and ''Bergselva'' empty into the fjord. Våvatnet is a lake in Orkland Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The lake was dammed in 1910 and is used as the main reservoir for the municipality of Orkdal. The water flows into the lake Songsjøen and then into the lake Gagnåsvatnet. Snillfjord Church
Snillfjord Church ( no, Snillfjord kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Orkland Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Krokstadøra. It is the church for the Snillfjord parish which is part of the Orkdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1899 by the architect Ole Falck Ebbell. The church seats about 250 people. History The church in Snillfjord was built in 1898-1899. The architect was Ole Falck Ebbell and the lead builders were Ole and Johan Væge. The new building was consecrated on 27 September 1899 by the Bishop Johannes Skaar. The baptismal sacristy was built in 1978, and the church underwent a restoration in 1989. Central Norway ( nb, Midt-Norge, nn, Midt-Noreg) is an informal region of Norway that is not clearly defined. Fosen
Fosen is a traditional district in Trøndelag, consisting of the municipalities Osen, Roan Åfjord, Ørland, Indre Fosen, Orkland, Heim, Hitra and Frøya. The district is dominated by forested valleys, lakes, coastal cliffs but also shallow areas, and in the interior mountains reaching up to 675 m elevation. The western coast has many skerries and some islands, such as Stokkøya in Åfjord. There are some good salmon rivers, and sea eagles and other sea birds are very common along the coast, notably on the shallow area near Ørland (''Grandefjæra''). The west coast has mild winters, and some locations (just west of the mountains) receive on average more than 2,000 mm of precipitation per year.
