Krivokapić ( sr-cyr, Кривокапић), is a Montenegrin and Serbian surname, a patronymic of the nickname '' krivokapa'', which means "crooked cap". Bearers of the surname traditionally exist in Upper Cuce, in western Montenegro, from where they have migrated to Prokuplje, southern Serbia (in 1875). The families are predominantly Orthodox Christian. Zdravko Krivokapić ( cyrl, Здравко Кривокапић; born 2 September 1958) is a Montenegrin professor and politician who served as Prime Minister of Montenegro from 2020 to 2022. In addition to his professorship at the Universities of Montenegro and East Sarajevo, he is one of the founders of the non-governmental organization called " We won't give up Montenegro", which was founded by Montenegrin professors and intellectuals in support of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro after a controversial religion law targeted the legal status and the property of the Church. In August 2020, he was chosen as the ballot representative for the For the Future of Montenegro list which placed second in the 2020 parliamentary election. Goran Krivokapić ( cnr, Горан Кривокапић; born 7 May 1979) is a Montenegrin classical guitarist. Early years and education Due to the 1979 Montenegro earthquake, Krivokapić was born in Belgrade, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia. He started his music education at the age of eight with Mićo Poznanović at the Music School of Herceg Novi in Montenegro. Cuce
Cuce (Cyrillic: Цуце, ) is a historical tribe (''pleme'') and region in Montenegro, located in the area of the Katunska nahija from Old Montenegro. History The toponym ''Cuce'' is first mentioned in 1431 in documents from Kotor, then again in a chrysobull of the Cetinje Monastery from the end of the 15th century. In Ottoman defters from 1521 and 1523, Cuce is mentioned as a village. The majority of inhabitants migrated to Cuce in the 16th and 17th century, from Old Herzegovina and Old Kuči. In 1718, after the Peace of Passowitz, the Cuce along with 9 other tribes of the Katun nahiya, became ''de facto'' independent from the Ottoman Empire. In 1829 Bjelice struggled against Ozrinići and Cuce, two neighboring tribes, and Petar I Petrović-Njegoš sent Sima Milutinović Sarajlija and Mojsije to negotiate peace among them. Ranko Krivokapić (Montenegrin Cyrillic: Ранко Кривокапић; born August 17, 1961) is a Montenegrin politician who served as the minister of foreign affairs in 2022. He is a former long-term President of the Parliament of Montenegro from 2003 to 2016, and the President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) from 2002 until his resignation in 2017. He is currently the honorary president of the SDP. He is the longest-serving President of the Parliament of Montenegro in the country's history. Milorad Krivokapić (handballer)
Milorad Krivokapić (; born 30 July 1980) is a Serbian-Hungarian handball player for Hungarian club Ceglédi KKSE. Career Krivokapić started out at Jugović and helped the club win the EHF Challenge Cup in the 2000–01 season. He later moved abroad to Hungary and signed with Dunaferr in 2002. Three years later, Krivokapić switched to fellow Hungarian club Pick Szeged. He helped them win the national championship in the 2006–07 season. In 2010, Krivokapić moved to Slovenia and joined Koper. He would also spend three years in Israel, from 2014 to 2017, playing for Maccabi Rishon LeZion, Hapoel Rishon LeZion and Hapoel Ashdod. Miloš Krivokapić
Miloš Androv Krivokapić ( sr-cyr, Милош Кривокапић; 1819–1907), also known as Serdar Miloš, was a tribal leader and military commander of Cuce, who served the Principality of Montenegro and participated in battles against the Ottoman troops, most notably at the Battle of Grahovac. Life Miloš was born in the Upper Cuce region, in the ''nahiye'' of Katun, at the time part of , principality of Montenegro (modern Montenegro). His father was Andrija "Andro" Šunjov, of the Krivokapić brotherhood of Upper Cuce, and his mother was named Rosa (née Pejović). He had a younger brother, Janko, an industrialist. Miloš joined the guerilla fight at a young age, and was noted for fighting the Korjenica Turks, and participating in the battles for Grahovo (1838–43). Miodrag Krivokapić ( cnr, Mиoдpaг Kpивoкaпић, born 6 September 1959) is a Montenegrin former footballer who played in defence. He played for Red Star Belgrade and represented Yugoslavia before moving to Scotland in 1988, where he went on to play for a number of clubs, including Dundee United and Motherwell. Playing career Club Krivokapić joined Dundee United in 1989 for £200,000 from Red Star, where he had previously won four international caps. Miodrag Krivokapić ( sr-Cyrl, Миодраг Кривокапић, ; born 22 April 1949) is a Serbian actor. He completed the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art in 1975. He remained in Zagreb after graduation, becoming a member of the ensemble of the Gavella Drama Theatre, later moving to the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, where he remained until 1986.
