Kritsana Asoksin
Sukanya Cholasuek ( th, สุกัญญา ชลศึกษ์, born 1931), writing under the pen name Krisna Asoksin,, also spelled Asokesin, is a Thai novelist. She has written about 150 novels and many other short stories. Her 1980 novel '' Poon Pid Thong'' () won the S.E.A. Write Award in 1985, and she was named National Artist National Artist is an honorary title issued by some states as a highest recognition of artists for their significant contributions to the cultural heritage of the nation. The National Artist ( th, ศิลปินแห่งชาติ, , ) is a title given annually by the Office of the National Culture Commission of Thailand, recognizing notable Thai artists in the area of intangible cultural heritage such as literature, fine arts, visual arts, applied arts (architecture, design) and performing arts (Thai dance, international dance, puppetry, shadow play, Thai music, international music, drama and film). Since 1985, the honors have been presented on 24 February, "National Artist Day", in Thailand. Lakorn is a popular genre of fiction in Thai television. They are known in Thai as (, lit. "television drama") or (''lakhon'', , or ''lakorn''). They are shown generally at prime-time on Thai television channels, starting usually on, before or approximately at 20:25-20:30 hrs local time. An episode of a prime-time drama is between 45 minutes to two hours long including commercials. Each series is a finished story, unlike Western "cliffhanger" dramas, but rather like Hispanic telenovelas. Sawan Biang (สวรรค์เบี่ยง) is a 1970 novel by Krisna Asokesin is about a young innocent woman named Narin who find herself a victim of lecherous stepson of her sister. It was adapted by a movie and four television series. Plot When Narin's sister Leela lost her fiancée, she was visited by a rich businessman named Worawat who was a widower and a single dad to his son Kawee.
