''Kristyles'' is the sixth solo studio album by American rapper and record producer KRS-One. It was released on June 24, 2003 through Koch Records. Production was handled by DJ Tiné Tim, Da Beatminerz, Choco, DJ Revolution, Gato, Inebriated Beats, Kenny Parker, the Ghetto Professionals, and KRS-One himself. It features guest appearances from Peedo and Tekitha. The album peaked at number 186 on the ''Billboard'' 200, number 30 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and number 10 on the Independent Albums in the United States. It spawned two singles: "Underground" and "How Bad Do You Want It". The latter appeared on 2004 album ''KRS-ONE Presents Peedo & The Luna Empire''. According to KRS-One, the record was released without his consent by Koch. The title that KRS-One wanted for the record was ''The Kristyle'', an acronym for the phrase ''"To have everything, keep radiating in spirit through your love everyday."'' KRS-One
Lawrence "Kris" Parker (born August 20, 1965), better known by his stage names KRS-One (; an abbreviation of "Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone") and Teacha, is an American rapper from New York City. He rose to prominence as part of the hip hop group Boogie Down Productions, which he formed with DJ Scott La Rock in the mid-1980s. KRS-One is known for his songs, "Sound of da Police", "Love's Gonna Get'cha (Material Love)", and "My Philosophy". Boogie Down Productions received numerous awards and critical acclaim in their early years. Following the release of the group's debut album, ''Criminal Minded'', fellow artist Scott La Rock was shot and killed, but KRS-One continued the group, effectively as a solo project. The Mix Tape (KRS-One Album)
''The Mix Tape'' is a mixtape by American rapper and producer KRS-One. It was released on August 27, 2002 via Koch Records in promotion of the musician's 6th studio album ''Kristyles'' the following year. Recording sessions took place at Pride Rock Studios in Los Angeles with additional recording at Salaamin Studios also in Los Angeles. Production was handled by Inebriated Beats, Milann Miles, Rick Long, A-Sharp, BJ Wheeler, Da Beatminerz, Pleasure King and KRS-One himself. It features guest appearances from Kim-O, Kool DJ Red Alert, Priest and Steph Lova. It is quite short with four interludes making up the 13 tracks. Tekitha
Tekitha Washington is a Wu-Tang Clan-affiliated female vocalist who was the Wu-Tang Clan's in-house singer (previously filled by Blue Raspberry (singer), Blue Raspberry) for the album ''Wu-Tang Forever'', on which she also performed a solo track titled "Second Coming". She also filled in for the unavailable Mary J. Blige in the video for Ghostface Killah's "All That I Got Is You". Initially signed to RZA's Razor Sharp Records and then to Ghostface's Starks Enterprise, Tekitha continued to make guest appearances on Wu-Tang projects such as Raekwon's ''The Lex Diamond Story'' and has also collaborated with non-Wu artists including KRS-One and Armand Van Helden. D.I.G.I.T.A.L. is a compilation album by American MC KRS-One. It was released in November 2003 via Front Page Entertainment and is composed of a number of songs previously only released on white label 12" singles and B-sides with a few remixes and KRS-One cameos on other artist records. Many of the tracks here have been given different titles from their original releases. For example, "As You Already Know" was originally released as a single by Truck Turner (artist), Truck Turner under the name "Symphony 2000" while "When The Moon" was called "Aquarius" when it first was released as a limited KRS-One 12" single around 1999.
