Kristin MacCuish
Kristin MacCuish (born December 8, 1992) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg. She currently plays lead on Team Kaitlyn Lawes. Career Juniors and University (2011–2013) MacCuish played second for Team Manitoba at the 2012 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, on a team skipped by Shannon Birchard. The team finished first after the round robin, but lost in the final to Team Alberta, skipped by Jocelyn Peterman. The next season, MacCuish and third Selena Kaatz left the Birchard rink to form their own team at the Manitoba Junior provincials but lost to their former skip in the final. Early women's (2013–2015) MacCuish joined Kerri Einarson's team in 2013. In their first season, they played in one slam, the 2013 Colonial Square Ladies Classic (not qualifying) and the 2014 Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts, losing in the final to Team Chelsea Carey. 2019 Players' Championship
The 2019 Players' Championship was held from April 9 to 14 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Ontario. It was the seventh Grand Slam event of the 2018–19 curling season. In the men's final, Brendan Bottcher defeated Kevin Koe 6–1. Team Bottcher was playing in their third straight Grand Slam final. In the women's final, Kerri Einarson defeated Anna Hasselborg 5–4 in an extra end. It was the second final that Team Einarson played in that season. 2018 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada's national women's curling championship, was held from January 27–February 4, 2018 at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton, British Columbia. The winning team represented Canada at the 2018 Ford World Women's Curling Championship held from March 17–25 at the Memorial Gardens in North Bay, Ontario. The 2018 tournament was the first to use a new 16-team format, featuring representation by all fourteen member associations of Curling Canada, the second-place team from the 2017 tournament (as champion Rachel Homan declined to participate due to her qualification for the 2018 Winter Olympics), and a new wildcard team. 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge
The 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge was held from September 8 to 13 at the Paradise Double Ice Complex in Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador. It was the first Grand Slam event of the 2015–16 curling season for both the men's and women's World Curling Tour. In the tier 1 events, Kevin Koe defeated Brad Gushue on the men's side, Koe's fourth slam title. Jennifer Jones (curler)
Jennifer Judith Jones OM (born July 7, 1974) is a Canadian curler. She was the Olympic champion in curling as skip of the Canadian team at the 2014 Sochi Games. Jones is the first female skip to go through the Games undefeated. The only male skip to achieve this was fellow Canadian Kevin Martin in 2010. Jones and her squad were the first Manitoba based curling team to win an Olympic gold medal. They won the 2008 World Women's Curling Championship and were the last Canadian women's team to do so until Rachel Homan in 2017. She won a second world championship in 2018. Jones represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Jones has won the national championship a record tying six times, most recently during the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, equalling Colleen Jones for total Scotties championships. Chelsea Carey
Chelsea Danielle Carey (born September 12, 1984 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. She is the 2016 and 2019 Canadian and Alberta women's champion skip and 2014 Manitoba provincial women's champion skip. Career Earlier career Carey curled in six provincial junior championships, but did not win the event. She did win the 2000 Juvenile Provincial championship which she followed up with a silver medal at the 2001 Canadian Juvenile championship. She was also the Manitoba high school provincial champion in 2002. Carey has won a number of World Curling Tour (WCT) events including the 2005 Manitoba Lotteries Wheat City Curling Classic, the 2006 Interlake Pharmacy Classic (playing third for Barb Spencer in both events), and the Interlake Pharmacy Classic again in 2009, culminating with winning the 2009 Manitoba Curling Tour Championship. The 2013 Colonial Square Ladies Classic was held from November 15 to 18 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Kerri Einarson (; born October 3, 1987 as Kerri Flett) is a Canadian Métis curler from Camp Morton, Manitoba, in the Rural Municipality of Gimli. Einarson is the three-time reigning women's national champion in curling, skipping her team to victory at the 2022 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. She previously won silver in 2018. She has also won two provincial mixed curling championships in 2010 and 2013.
