Kristin Lewicki
Kristin Lewicki (born June 10, 1995) is an American ice hockey forward, currently playing with the Buffalo Beauts of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL). Career From 2013 to 2017, she attended Adrian College, scoring 179 points in 113 NCAA Division III games with the Adrian Bulldogs. After graduating, she signed her first professional contract with the NWHL's Buffalo Beauts. She scored seven points in fourteen games in her rookie professional season. She was named to Team Leveille at the 2018 NWHL All-Star Game, and won fastest skater at the Skills Competition. She left the Beauts to sign with the Metropolitan Riveters for the 2018–19 NWHL season, the first player from another team to join the Riveters that off-season. Despite being the reigning Isobel Cup champions, the Riveters suffered a number of problems that year, including the worst opening season stretch in league history, and Lewicki's production dropped significantly, only scoring one goal in sixteen games. ... Moundsville, West Virginia
Moundsville is a city in Marshall County, West Virginia, United States, along the Ohio River. It is part of the Wheeling, West Virginia metropolitan area. The population was 8,122 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Marshall County. The city was named for the nearby ancient Grave Creek Mound, constructed 250 to 100 BC by indigenous people of the Adena culture. History In 1771, English colonists Samuel and James Tomlinson built a cabin at what later became Moundsville, although they did not overwinter, and in fact left for several years after attacks by Native Americans. Elizabethtown, as Tomlinson's community was called, was incorporated in 1830 and would become the county seat upon the creation of Marshall County in 1835. In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. Face-off
A face-off is the method used to begin and restart play after goals in some sports using sticks, primarily ice hockey, bandy, floorball, broomball, rinkball, and lacrosse. During a face-off, two teams line up in opposition to each other, and the opposing players attempt to gain control of the puck or ball after it is dropped or otherwise placed between their sticks by an official. 2020–21 NWHL Season
The 2020–21 NWHL season was the sixth season of the National Women's Hockey League in North America. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the season was held in a bubble in Lake Placid, New York, from January to February 2021, with all five teams returning from the previous season, along with the Toronto Six expansion team as the first Canada-based team to play in the league. The season was suspended again due to positive cases of COVID-19 within the bubble.
