Kristin Hille Valla
Kristin Hille Valla (born 31 December 1944 in Årdal) is a Norwegian politician in the Centre Party. Biography From 1989 to 1990, while the cabinet Syse held office, Hille Valla was appointed Minister of the Environment. On the local level she was a member of Nes municipal council from 1983 to 1987. From 1987 to 1991 she was a member of Buskerud county council. In 2001 she was appointed County Governor of Oppland. From 1987 to 1991 she was the second vice leader of her party. Outside politics she mainly worked as a teacher in Dovre and Nesbyen. ''state administrator'' in English) is a Norwegian government agency that represents the central government administration in every county in Norway. Responsible for a number of supervision and management duties, the governor is the representative of the king and the government of Norway in each county, functioning as the connection between the state and the municipalities. The county governor is subordinate to the Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation but also to the other ministries in their respective duties. Buskerud () is a former county and a current electoral district in Norway, bordering Akershus, Oslo, Oppland, Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland, Telemark and Vestfold. Nesbyen is a town and the administrative center in Nesbyen municipality in the county of Viken, Norway. Nesbyen is located in the traditional district of Hallingdal. Summary Nesbyen has a population of about 3,500 inhabitants. It is located on the Bergen Line railroad which runs between Oslo and Bergen.
