Kristian Ipsen
Kristian Ipsen (born October 20, 1992) is an American diver, who has been diving competitively since 1998. Diving alongside Troy Dumais, they took the silver medal in the synchronized 3 meter springboard at the 2009 World Aquatics Championships and the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Competitive diving career At the 2011 US National Championships in August, Ipsen captured the senior men 3-meter springboard championship and teamed with Troy Dumais to win the synchronized men 3-meter springboard at UCLA's Spieker Aquatics Center. In June 2012 Ipsen and his 3m synchro partner Troy Dumais qualified at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials held in Federal Way, Washington to represent the United States at the 2012 Olympic Games in London which began the following month. Sam Dorman
Sam Dorman (born August 30, 1991) is a retired American diver. He represented his country at the 2016 Summer Olympics where he, along with his diving partner Michael Hixon, won a silver medal in the 3-meter springboard synchro event. Dorman attended the University of Miami. Early life Sam Dorman was born to Marla and Paul Dorman and grew up in Tempe, Arizona. He has a brother living in Australia who plays for Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League in Australia. He attended Marcos de Niza High School in Tempe, and then went to University of Miami where he majored in mechanical engineering. Dorman began learning to dive when he was eight, and started to compete in diving competition when he was nine. Michael Hixon
Michael Hixon (born July 16, 1994) is an American diver. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won the silver medal with Sam Dorman in the men's synchronized 3-meter springboard event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and the silver medal with Andrew Capobianco at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in the same event. Early life and education Hixon was born on July 16, 1994, in Amherst, Massachusetts, to Mandy and David Hixon. He has an older brother, Matthew. Hixon's parents have both coached in American collegiate sports. His father was the head coach for the men's basketball team at Amherst College. FINA Diving World Cup
The FINA Diving World Cup is an international biennial diving competition that was first contested in The Woodlands, Texas in 1979. The 2012 edition served as Diving's test event for the 2012 Olympics, as well as the final qualifying event for Diving at those Games. Tom Daley (UK, b. 21 May 1994) is the youngest medallist at a FINA Diving World Cup. Mark Edward Lenzi (July 4, 1968 – April 9, 2012) was an American Olympic diver and diving coach. Lenzi was known for his Olympic gold medal in the 1992 Olympic Games, and his Olympic bronze medal in the 1996 Olympic Games on the 3 m springboard. Diving At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's Synchronized 10 Metre Platform
The men's synchronised 10 metre platform diving competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place on 30 July at the Aquatics Centre within the Olympic Park. The Chinese team of Cao Yuan and Zhang Yanquan won the gold medal. Format A single round was held, with each team making six dives. Eleven judges scored each dive: three for each diver, and five for synchronisation. Only the middle score counted for each diver, with the middle three counting for synchronisation. These five scores were averaged, multiplied by 3, and multiplied by the dive's degree of difficulty to give a total dive score. The scores for each of the five dives were summed to give a final score. Nicholas McCrory
Nicholas Montgomery McCrory (born August 9, 1991) is an American psychiatrist, former diver and was a member of the national team from 2007 to 2014. He won his first international medal, a silver, at the World Junior Championship in 2006. At the 2011 World Aquatics Championships in Shanghai, China, he competed with partner David Boudia in the synchronized 10-meter platform and finished fifth. In the 10-meter competition, he finished in sixth place. McCrory graduated from East Chapel Hill High School and from Duke University, where he won several medals at college competitions. He won the gold medal in 10-meter platform at the 2011 US National Championships at UCLA on August 14. McCrory was named to CSCAA's list of the 100 Greatest Swimmers and Divers in History. David Alasdair Boudia (; born April 24, 1989) is an American diver. He won the gold medal in the 10 metre platform diving competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
