Krista Vansant (born March 31, 1993) is a volleyball player and coach who played collegiately for Washington Huskies women's volleyball, Washington. In 2022, she was named as the assistant coach for the Illinois Fighting Illini women's volleyball, University of Illinois volleyball team after spending 3 seasons as an assistant coach at Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana. Early life Vansant was born in Whittier, California, east of Los Angeles, to Tricia and Robert Vansant and grew up in Redlands, California. She played volleyball all four years at Redlands East Valley High School where she helped lead her team to three California Interscholastic Federation, CIF championship titles. She recorded 1913 kills during her four years on the high school team. Whittier, California
Whittier () is a city in Southern California in Los Angeles County, California, Los Angeles County, part of the Gateway Cities. Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship
The NORCECA Women's Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior women's national volleyball teams of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, organized by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA). The Indiana Hoosiers are the intercollegiate sports teams and players of Indiana University Bloomington, named after the colloquial term for people from the state of Indiana. The Honda Sports Award is an annual award in the United States, given to the best collegiate female athlete in each of twelve sports. There are four nominees for each sport, and the twelve winners of the Honda Sports Award are automatically in the running for the Honda-Broderick Cup award, as the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year. Three other athletes are honored as the Division II Athlete of the Year, Division III Athlete of the Year, and Inspiration Award winner. 2013 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament
The 2013 NCAA Division I women's volleyball tournament began on December 5, 2013 and ended on December 21, 2013 at KeyArena in Seattle, Washington. The NCAA selection show was televised on Sunday, December 1, 2013. Qualifying teams The champions of the NCAA's 32 conferences qualify automatically. Twenty-two conferences hold tournaments, while the other ten award their automatic bid on the basis of being the league's regular-season champion. Those that do not hold tournaments are the Atlantic Coast, American Athletic, Big 12, Big West, Big Ten, Ivy League, Mountain West, Pac-12, Southeastern and West Coast Conferences. The Gatorade Player of the Year awards are given annually to up and coming high school student-athletes in the United States. Redlands East Valley High School is a public English medium co-educational high school in Redlands, California, United States, near the San Bernardino Mountains. Washington Huskies
The Washington Huskies are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Washington, located in Seattle. The school competes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level as a member of the Pac-12 Conference. Washington students, sports teams, and alumni are called Huskies. The husky was selected as the school mascot by the Associated Students of UW in 1922. It replaced the "Sun Dodger," an abstract reference to the local weather that was quickly dropped in favor of something more tangible.
