Krishnagiri Stadium
Krishnagiri Stadium is a cricket stadium in Wayanad, Kerala. The stadium is located in Krishnagiri Village in the Indian state of Kerala. It holds up to 20,000 people, and at 2,100 feet above sea level, it is the highest-altitude stadium used exclusively for cricket. History The stadium site was purchased in 2006, and the foundation stone was laid in 2009 by former Indian cricket players Robin Singh (cricketer, born 1963), Robin Singh and Sunil Joshi. It was dedicated by Governor Nikhil Kumar (governor), Nikhil Kumar at Krishnagiri in Wayanad in 2013. Wayanad
Wayanad () is a district in the north-east of Indian state Kerala with administrative headquarters at the municipality of Kalpetta. It is the only plateau in Kerala. The Wayanad Plateau forms a continuation of the Mysore Plateau, the southern portion of Deccan Plateau. It is set high in the Western Ghats with altitudes ranging from 700 to 2100 meters. Vellari Mala, a high peak situated on the trijunction of Wayanad, Malappuram, and Kozhikode districts, is the highest point in Wayanad district. The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA; ml, കേരളാ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് അസോസിയേഷന്) is the governing body of the game of cricket in the Kerala state of the Republic of India. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Sunil Bandacharya Joshi (; born 6 June 1970) is an Indian former cricketer and former selector of the India cricket team. He played as an all-rounder who bowled slow left arm spin and batted left-handed. Sunil Joshi was appointed as chief selector of the senior men's cricket team on 4 March 2020. The India A cricket team is a national cricket team representing India. It is the second-tier of Indian international cricket, below the full India national cricket team.
