Krishna Babu (1999 Film)
''Krishna Babu'' is a 1999 Indian Telugu-language drama film, produced by Chanti Addala under the Srinivasa Productions banner and directed by Muthyala Subbaiah. It stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Meena, Raasi and music composed by Koti. It was the 75th film of Balakrishna as an actor. Plot The film begins in a village where Krishna Babu is an arbitrator & forefront, whose word is an ordinance to the terrain. He resides along with his maternal uncle Chandraiah. Krishna endears beautiful girl Rama, the daughter of the headmaster of the village. Sarvarayudu the vicious step-maternal uncle of Krishna holds a family feud because he always bars his violations. Krishna's sibling Vijay studies in the city and falls for his classmate Shilpa. Meantime, Krishna & Rama get engaged when Rama's uncle a jailor interrupts and states Krishna is a murderer and is in jail for his criminal offense. Muthyala Subbaiah
Muthyala Subbaiah is an Indian film director. He has directed 50 Telugu films. Known for his films with heavy dose of human emotions, he is sometimes referred as ''Sentiment Subbaiah''. Personal life Muthyala Subbaiah was born in Parlapalli, a village in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. His parents are Sankaraiah, Seshamma. He is the eldest of four children. He has two sisters and a brother. He was named after his grandfather Subbaiah. Their family lived on agriculture. He used to participate in stage shows since the age of 13 years. Suthivelu
Kurumaddali Lakshmi Narasimha Rao (7 August 1947 – 16 September 2012), better known by his stage name Suthi Velu, was an Indian actor and comedian known for his works in Telugu cinema. He has acted in more than 200 films, and won four state Nandi Awards. Early life Suthi Velu's father was a teacher. From an early age he was interested in drama and also developed an interest in acting. He then decided to take up acting seriously. At the age of 7, he had given a stage performance in his town. Sirivennela Sitaramasastri
Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry (born Chembolu Seetharama Sastry; 20 May 1955 – 30 November 2021) was an Indian poet and lyricist known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He acquired the stage name Sirivennela after writing the lyrics for K. Viswanath's directorial film of Sirivennela, the same name in 1986. Sastry has garnered several awards including eleven state Nandi Award for Best Lyricist, Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist – Telugu, Filmfare Awards South for his work. He has penned lyrics for over 3000 songs until 2020. In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India, for his contributions towards the field of arts and aesthetics. Veturi Sundararama Murthy (29 January 1936 – 22 May 2010), known mononymously by his surname Veturi, was an Indian poet, lyricist and journalist who is popular for writing Telugu songs. His career in the Telugu cinema spanned more than four decades. He was highly admired and cherished for his deep and thoughtful lyrics in Telugu songs. Early life Veturi was born to Chandrasekhar Sastry and Kamalamba in Pedakallepalli, near Challapalli, Krishna into a Telugu Brahmin family. Harini (singer)
Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback singer and classical singer who sings in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films, working with many leading film composers. She is married to another playback singer, Tippu. Harini learnt Carnatic music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan from the age of four. In her later years, she learned from Sudha Raghunathan and currently from Suguna Purushotthaman. She used to participate in school competitions and in one such competition which she won, A. R. Rahman who distributed the prizes invited the winners to his studio to record their voices.
