Krishan Vikas
Vikas Krishan Yadav (born 10 February 1992) is an Indian boxer from Bhiwani district in Haryana, the hub of some of India's best boxers. He won a gold medal in the 2010 Asian Games in the Lightweight category and a gold medal in 75 kg weight category at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. He is one of the best boxers of India. He also played professional boxing. Due to the ban on the Boxing Federation of India in 2015, Vikas competed at the World and Asian Championships under the AIBA flag. Vikas Krishan Yadav is the second Indian boxer after Olympian Vijender Singh to qualify for Olympics for the third time. Personal life and family Yadav was born in Singhwa Khas village in Hisar district. His father Krishan Kumar is an employee in the Electricity Department. Welterweight
Welterweight is a weight class in combat sports. Originally the term "welterweight" was used only in boxing, but other combat sports like Muay Thai, taekwondo, and mixed martial arts also use it for their own weight division system to classify the opponents. AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships
The IBA Youth World Boxing Championships and the IBA Junior World Boxing Championships are amateur boxing competitions organised by the International Boxing Association (amateur), International Boxing Association (IBA), the sport's governing body, for "Youth" competitors—ages 17 or 18 years old (U19), and for "Junior" competitors—ages 15 or 16 years old (U17), respectively. The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) is an international multi-sport event for athletes between 15 and 18 years old, organized by the International Olympic Committee. The games are held every four years in staggered summer and winter events consistent with the current Olympic Games format, though in reverse order with Olympic Winter Games held in leap years instead of Summer Olympic Games. Boxing At The 2018 Commonwealth Games – Men's Middleweight
The men's middleweight boxing competitions at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia took place between 6 and 14 April at Oxenford Studios. Middleweights were limited to those boxers weighing less than 75 kilograms. Like all Commonwealth boxing events, the competition was a straight single-elimination tournament. Both semifinal losers were awarded bronze medals, so no boxers competed again after their first loss. Bouts consisted of three rounds of three minutes each, with one-minute breaks between rounds. Boxing at the 2018 Commonwealth Games was held at the Oxenford Studios in the Gold Coast, Australia from April 5th to 14th.
