Kris Mayotte
Kristofer Mayotte is the current head coach for Colorado College. Previously he was an assistant coach at Providence and helped the team win its first national championship in 2015. Career Mayotte began his collegiate career at Union College in 2002. He became the team starting goaltender as a freshman and remained a fixture in net for four years. During Mayotte's tenure, the team didn't see much success, recording just one non-losing season and one playoff win (in 9 attempts). Despite this, Mayotte played well in goal, particularly in his senior season. He was named to the second All-ECAC team and posted a program record for both a season and career in shutouts (both have since been broken). After the season, Mayotte began his professional career by signing a PTO (Professional Try-Out) contract with the Lowell Lock Monsters. The Colorado College Tigers men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Colorado College. The Michigan Wolverines men's ice hockey team is the college ice hockey team that represents the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Jonathan Bruce Gillies (born January 22, 1994) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the Tucson Roadrunners in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career As a youth, Gillies played in the 2007 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Middlesex Islanders minor ice hockey team, along with teammates Matt Grzelcyk and Miles Wood. Greg Carvel
Gregory Joseph Carvel (born August 17, 1970) is an American former NCAA ice hockey player. He is currently the head coach for the UMass Minutemen of the Hockey East conference. Carvel has been a head coach at St Lawrence University and an assistant coach in the National Hockey League (NHL) with both the Anaheim Ducks and Ottawa Senators. Career Greg Carvel is a graduate of St. Lawrence University, having played four years for the ice hockey program. After a short professional career Carvel became an assistant coach and progressed from high school through college and into the NHL as an assistant. Short-handed
Short-handed is a term used in ice hockey and several related sports, including water polo, and refers to having fewer skaters (players) on the ice during play, as a result of a penalty. The player removed from play serves the penalty in the penalty box for a set amount of time proportional to the severity of the infraction. If a goaltender commits a minor infraction, another player who was on the ice at the time of the penalty serves, often but not necessarily the team captain. The penalized team is said to be on the penalty kill, abbreviated as "PK" for recording purposes, while their players are in the penalty box. The Maryland Terrapins, commonly referred to as the Terps, consist of 19 men's and women's varsity intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Maryland, College Park in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I competition. Central Hockey League
The Central Hockey League (CHL) was a North American mid-level minor professional ice hockey league which operated from 1992 until 2014.
