Arjan Kripal Singh
Arjan Kripal Singh (born 13 February 1969), is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He hails from a family of cricketers with his grandfather A. G. Ram Singh playing in two unofficial Test matches, his father A. G. Kripal Singh (14 Test matches) and uncle A. G. Milkha Singh (4 Test matches) representing India in Test cricket. Another uncle A.G. Satwender Singh played first class cricket for Madras cricket team and Tamil Nadu cricket team. His brother Swaran Kripal Singh played in domestic cricket briefly. His grandfather hailed from Amritsar, Punjab (India) who settled down in Madras and played for the local team. All members of the family played for the local team only. Kripal Singh Shekhawat
Kripal Singh Shekhawat (1922-2008) was a renowned craftsman and ceramist of India. He was famous for his skills in Blue Pottery of Jaipur and is credited for the revival of that art in India. Life and career Born in Mau Rajasthan in 1922, he studied original painting at the Shanti Niketan in West Bengal and later did a diploma in Oriental Arts from the Tokyo University, Japan. He was also the director of Sawai Ram Singh Shilpa Kala Mandir at Jaipur where he taught Indian painting and Blue Pottery. He was conferred the Padma Shri in 1974 and was also honoured with the title Shilp Guru by the Government of India in 2002. Unknown to many, Kripal Singh is renowned for his illustrations in the original document of the Constitution of India. He died on 15 February 2008 in Jaipur. Ram Kripal Yadav (born 12 October 1957) is an Indian politician and a member of the 17th Lok Sabha from the Pataliputra parliamentary constituency in Bihar. He was a member of Rashtriya Janata Dal and was a close confidant of Lalu Yadav. Later he joined Bharatiya Janata Party. He was first a mayor in Bihar, and later the Minister of State for Rural Development in central cabinet in Delhi from 2014 to 2019. Early life Yadav was born on 12 October 1957. The Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health is a nonprofit organization that operates a health and yoga retreat in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Its facility is a former Jesuit novitiate and juniorate seminary built in 1957. History Founder Amrit Desai came from India in 1960 as a student at the Philadelphia College of Art and taught yoga in Philadelphia. In 1966, he co-founded the Yoga Society of Pennsylvania. In 1972, Desai set up a residential yoga center in Sumneytown, Pennsylvania. In 1974, the organization's name was changed to "Kripalu Yoga Fellowship". Kripalvananda (January 13, 1913 – December 29, 1981), also known as Swami Sri Kripalvanand or Bapuji, was a renowned master of kundalini yoga and the namesake of the Kripalu Center, Kripalu Yoga style and Kripalvananda Yoga Institute, as well as a significant influence on Kriya Yoga in the United States. Life Kripalvananda was born in 1913 in Dabhoi, Gujarat, India. He worked as a music teacher in Ahmedabad between 1935 and 1940, playing the tamboura and harmonium, and becoming a Master of Music at the same time. In 1981 his health worsened and he decided to go back to India. He made a farewell speech to his American disciples on September 27, and he died on December 29. His shrine is in Malav, Gujarat. Bhupinder Nath Kirpal
Bhupinder Nath Kirpal (B. N. Kirpal) (born 8 November 1937) was the 31st Chief Justice of India, serving from 6 May 2002 until his retirement on 7 November 2002. He is an alumnus of The Modern School, New Delhi and St Stephens College, Delhi University. A top cricketer, he represented both his school and college. He began his legal career as an advocate in 1962 and was appointed a Judge of Delhi High Court in November 1979. In December 1993, he was appointed Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court. In September 1995, he was appointed Judge of the Supreme Court of India and became Chief Justice of India in May 2002.
