Krinos (Greek: Κρίνος) is a village in the municipal unit of Movri, Achaea, Greece. It is located 5 km southeast of Sageika and 30 km southwest of Patras, on the northwestern slope of mount Movri. Western Greece Region ( el, Περιφέρεια Δυτικής Ελλάδας, translit=Periféria Dhitikís Elládhas, ) is one of the thirteen administrative regions of Greece. It comprises the western part of continental Greece and the northwestern part of the Peloponnese peninsula. Achaea
Achaea () or Achaia (), sometimes transliterated from Greek as Akhaia (, ''Akhaïa'' ), is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of Western Greece and is situated in the northwestern part of the Peloponnese peninsula. The capital is Patras which is the third largest city in Greece. Geography Achaea is bordered by Elis to the west and southwest, Arcadia to the south, and Corinthia to the east and southeast. The Gulf of Corinth lies to its northeast, and the Gulf of Patras to its northwest. The mountain Panachaiko (1926 m), though not the highest of Achaea, dominates the coastal area near Patras. Movri ( el, Μόβρη) is a former municipality in Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform, it is part of the municipality of West Achaea, of which it is a municipal unit. It has a population of 4,605 as of 2011, and is named after the mountain range Movri. The seat of the municipality is in Sageika. Its area is 86.484 km². Sageika ( el, Σαγέικα, also: Σαγαίικα - ''Sagaiika'') is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Movri (municipality), Movri, western Achaea, Greece. The population of the village is about 1000. It is located in the plains between the Movri hills and the Gulf of Patras. It is 3 km west of Kareika, 6 km east of Metochi, Larissos, Metochi, 9 km southwest of Kato Achaia and 28 km southwest of Patras. The Greek National Road 9 (Patras - Pyrgos, Elis, Pyrgos) runs through the village. Sageika was the seat of the municipality of Movri, named for the Movri hills south of the village. Movri () is a forested mountain range in western Achaea, Greece. Its highest point is 719 m amsl. It covers part of the municipal units Movri (named after this mountain), Dymi, Larissos and Olenia, all in the municipality of West Achaea. It is located about 30 km southwest of Patras. The higher mountain range Skollis lies to its southeast. The river Larissos has its source in the Movri, and flows to the west.
