Krešimir Marušić
Kresimir Marusic ( hr, Krešimir Marušić; born 23 November 1969) is a former Australian football player who played for several National Soccer League clubs, including Melbourne Knights, Sydney United, Carlton SC, Northern Spirit FC and Sydney Olympic. Marušić won the Johnny Warren Medal for player of the year in 1996–97 National Soccer League season. He had also played in Croatian First League clubs NK Radnik Velika Gorica, NK Segesta Sisak, and NK Inker Zaprešić in the early 1990s and with Belgian SK Lommel Koninklijke Football Club Lommelse Sportkring was a Belgian football club that existed between 1932 and 2003. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders. There are also attacking midfielders with limited defensive assignments. Nogometni klub Inker Zaprešić is a Croatian football club based in Zaprešić. History The club was founded in July 2022 as a phoenix club of NK Inter Zaprešić after it was dissolved due to bankruptcy. The National Soccer League (NSL) was the top-level soccer league in Australia, run by Soccer Australia and later the Australian Soccer Association. The NSL, the A-League's predecessor, spanned 28 seasons from its inception in 1977 until its demise in 2004, when it was succeeded by the A-League competition run by Football Federation Australia, the successor to the Australian Soccer Association.
