Velden is a market town and municipality in the district of Landshut (district), Landshut in Bavaria in Germany. Geography Velden lies on the border from Lower Bavaria to Upper Bavaria. The river Vils (Danube), Vils runs through the town. Velden is about 64 kilometers northeast of Munich. The municipality consists of 130 villages and communes History The first mentioning of a Place named Feldin is found in 773. In 788 King Charlemagne, Charles the Great displaced the bavarian Duke Tassilo III, Duke of Bavaria, Tassilo III and made it a part of Francia. Preetz () is a town southeast of Kiel in the district of Plön, in Schleswig-Holstein, Northern Germany. Preetz is also known as "Schusterstadt" (English: 'shoemaker town') named after shoemakers who used to live and work in this town. Preetz has a population of about 16,000 and is the largest city in the district of Plön. Al Kreuz
Albert F. Kreuz (August 21, 1898 – August 1975) was an American football fullback. He played on the Philadelphia Quakers' 1926 American Football League (AFL) team, which won the league's only championship. Kreuz played college football at the University of Pennsylvania as a back and placekicker. His first season at Pennsylvania was 1924, his sophomore year, and he played through 1925 before being ruled ineligible for the 1926 season due to having previously played for Kalamazoo College. Kreuz joined the Quakers in 1926. He played in all 10 games during the Quakers' 8–2 season, in which they won the AFL championship. Krzyż Wielkopolski (german: Kreuz (Ostbahn)) is a town in Poland, with 6,176 inhabitants (2019) in the Czarnków-Trzcianka County, Greater Poland Voivodeship. It is an important railroad junction, with two major lines crossing there - the Berlin-Bydgoszcz and the Poznań-Szczecin connections. History From 1847 to 1848 the line of the Stargard-Posen Railway Company was built through the area. In 1848, the construction of a train station began at the planned junction of the Küstrin-Posen line, with a reception building built in the classical style. The town owes its existence to the rail, as developed only after 1848, when the Poznań-Szczecin line was opened, crossing the Prussian Eastern Railway.
