Columba Krebs
Annabell Krebs Culverwell (June 13, 1902 – April 9, 1998) was an American painter. She took the name Columba when signing her paintings and writings, probably related to the constellation Columba, which is the focal point of several Egyptian pyramids. Her parents were Anna Frantz (1867–1930) and Dr. Stanley LeFevre Krebs (1864–1935). Her father was a one time president of the American University of Trade and Applied Commerce of Philadelphia and a pastor in the Reformed Church. He wrote the book "Trick Methods of Eusapia Paladino" (1910), exposing the tricks of the medium Eusapia Palladino. His second marriage was to Marjorie Main of ''Ma and Pa Kettle'' fame. Elizabeth Krebs
Elizabeth Oehler Krebs (November 14, 1848August 19, 1931) is an American woman credited with organizing the first Halloween party, shifting the American holiday from one full of children's' mischief to one with costumes and parades. Krebs was born Elizabeth Oehler in Bern, Switzerland. Her family moved to the United States in 1855. She was orphaned as a teenager. In 1870 she married John Krebs and they had four children. Krebs lived in Hiawatha, Kansas where she was an avid award-winning gardener and established the Hiawatha Garden Club. She was an elected officer of her local Knights and Ladies of Honor chapter. Krebs worked with the local Civic Improvement Club to hold an event for the local children. Life and career Youth and initial success Diether Krebs was born on 11 August 1947 in Essen, the son of a stationery shop owner. Charles Joseph Krebs (born 17 September 1936) is a professor emeritus of population ecology in the University of British Columbia Department of Zoology. He is also Thinker-in-residence at the Institute for Applied Ecology at the University of Canberra, Australia. Carl Immanuel Krebs (11 February 1889, Aarhus – 15 May 1971, Slagelse) was a Danish medical doctor, humanitarian aid worker and explorer. He was the third child of First Lieutenant (later Major General) Frederik Christian Krebs (1855–1930) and Johanne Margrethe Busch (1858–1911), the brother of ceramicist Nathalie Krebs and the grandson of Dr. Frederik Christian Krebs (1814–1881) a physician, writer on political and social reforms, and editor of the Berlingske Tidende. Carl Krebs graduated from the Metropolitanskole in 1907, and completed his medical studies in 1913. He was then resident in the surgical department of St. Joseph's Hospital.
