Beaver & Krause were an American musical duo comprising Paul Beaver and Bernie Krause. Their 1967 album ''The Nonesuch Guide to Electronic Music'' was a pioneering work in the electronic music genre. The pair were Robert Moog's sales representatives on the U.S. West Coast and were instrumental in popularizing the Moog synthesizer during the late 1960s. As recording artists for Warner Bros. Records in the early 1970s, they released the critically admired albums ''In a Wild Sanctuary'' and ''Gandharva''. Career As Moog exponents Having met each other through session work, Paul Beaver and Bernie Krause began collaborating in 1966. Both were drawn to the creative potential of electronic musical instruments. Aurel Krause
Aurel Krause (December 30, 1848 – March 14, 1908) was a German geographer known today for his early ethnography of the Tlingit Indians of southeast Alaska, published in 1885. Krause was born in Polnisch Konopath near Schwetz, West Prussia. He and his brother Arthur Krause were employed by the Geographical Society of Bremen in Germany when they conducted ethnological research in Siberia, followed by Aurel Krause's mostly solo research with the Tlingit of Klukwan, Alaska, in 1881 and 1882. Allison Krause
Allison Beth Krause ( ; April 23, 1951 – May 4, 1970) was an American honor student at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, when she was killed by soldiers of the Ohio Army National Guard in the Kent State shootings, while protesting against the invasion of Cambodia and the presence of the National Guard on the Kent State campus. National Guardsmen opened fire on a group of unarmed students, killing four of them, at an average distance of about 345 ft (106 m). Krause was shot in the left side of her chest at about , from which she received a fatal wound. A subsequent autopsy found that a single rifle bullet entered and exited her upper left arm, and then entered the left side of her chest, fragmenting on impact and causing massive internal trauma. Axel Krause, born 23 October 1958 in Halle (Saale), is a German painter and graphic artist. He is associated with the New Leipzig School and lives and works in Leipzig. Asuman Krause (born 1 March 1976) is a Turkish actress, singer, model and TV presenter of Circassian origin who was crowned Miss Turkey in 1998.
