Krasnovishnevoye (russian: Красновишневое) is a salt lake in Kupinsky District, Novosibirsk Oblast, Russian Federation.Google Earth The lake is located at the southwestern end of the Oblast. The nearest inhabited places are Blagoveshchenka (Novosibirsk Oblast), Blagoveshchenka to the north and Terengul to the east. The western lakeshore lies to the east of the Kazakhstan–Russia border. Geography Krasnovishnevoye lies in the Baraba Lowland, West Siberian Plain. It is part of the Kyzyltuz (Zhelezin District), Kyzyltuz lake group. The lake is shallow and has a roughly triangular shape. There is one islet in the southwestern sector.Google Maps Located in an area of lakes, Krasnovishnevoye displays unusual characteristics compared to its immediate neighbors. One theory is that it is the site where a meteorite fell in the past. Kyzyltuz ( kk, Қызылтұз russian: Кызылтуз) is a salt lake group in Zhelezin District, Pavlodar Region, Kazakhstan. The lakes lie to the northwest of Krasnovka village, in the area of the Kazakhstan-Russia border, and to the ENE of Zhelezinka, the district capital. Geography Kyzyltuz is part of the Irtysh basin. It is a steppe lake cluster of the Baraba Plain, it includes lake Krasnovishnevoye that lies on the other side of the border. The Sheldauk hot springs are located to the south of the southern shore. Google Earth The shores of the main lake are flat, with a few irregular-shaped islands in the central area and a deeply indented northern shoreline with a southward projecting headland. There is a separate small lake in the west and another in the east which are aligned with the central lake in a roughly NW - SE direction.
