Krasnokutsk ( uk, Краснокутськ, russian: Краснокутск) is an urban-type settlement in Bohodukhiv Raion, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Krasnokutsk settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Krasnokutskyi Arboretum
Krasnokutskyi arboretum is one of the oldest arboreta of Ukraine. According to one version, the park was founded in 1793. The park was laid out by landowner Ivan Nazarovych Karazin, brother of the founder of Kharkiv University. Characteristic The main compositional axis of the Krasnokutskyi arboretum is the watershed of the ravine, which gradually turns into a wide beam. There are ponds, dams, and streams at the bottom of the ravine. The slopes are formed by terraces. On the eastern side of the ravine, underground passages have been preserved since the monastic times. In the park there are two ponds, four springs-wells with water. Red, pink, lemon, cream and white lotuses are planted on the upper pond. On the upper pond there is a small island built by the Karazins – "Island of Love". Kharkov Governorate
The Kharkov Governorate ( pre-reform Russian: , tr. ''Khárkovskaya gubérniya'', IPA: xarʲkəfskəjə ɡʊˈbʲernʲɪjə ) was a governorate of the Russian Empire founded in 1835. Bogodukhov Uyezd
Bogodukhovsky Uyezd (russian: Богодуховский уезд) was an uyezd (district) in the Kharkov Governorate of the Russian Empire. History This uyezd was created on April 25, 1780, by order of the Empress Catherine the Great. The administrative centre of uyezd was small town Bogodukhov. Since that time, Bogodukhov got its own coat of arms. The uyezd had two towns (Bogodukhov and Krasnokutsk) and consisted of 18 volosts. In the 1870s, the railway was built through the uyezd and the Bogodukhov railway station was built in 1878 in Bogodukhov. In January 1897, according to the Russian Empire Census, the population of the uyezd was 159 806 people. Myrhorod ( uk, Ми́ргород, ) is a city in the Poltava Oblast (province) of central Ukraine. Serving as the administrative center of the Myrhorod Raion (district), the city itself is administratively incorporated as a city of oblast significance and does not belong to the raion.
