Kraken Regiment
The Kraken Regiment ( uk, Спецпідрозділ «Kraken», translit=Spetspidrozdil «Kraken») is a Ukrainian military volunteer unit, part of the spetsnaz units of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) formed in 2022 as a response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Named after the mythical sea creature, the regiment was formed by veterans of the Azov Regiment and has successfully liberated several occupied villages during the fighting, later also taking part in counter offensives and sabotage operations, becoming one of the more high-profile volunteer units in the war. Oleksandr Stanislavovych Syrskyi (; born 26 July 1965) is a Ukrainian military officer. Holding the rank of Military ranks of Ukraine#Rank insignia currently in force, Colonel general, he has been the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces since 2019. Soledar ( uk, Соледа́р, ; ), formerly known as Karlo-Libknekhtovsk ( uk, Карло-Лібкнехтівськ, Karlo-Libknekhtivs'k, 1965–1991), is a city in the Bakhmut Raion, which is located in what is internationally recognised as the Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine. Novoselivske (Svatove Raion)
Novoselivske ( uk, Новоселівське) is a rural-type settlement in Kolomyichykha rural hromada, Svatove Raion, Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine. Prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the population was 736. By January 2023, the town had no inhabitants as the population fled. History On 1 June 1932, the state farm Komsomolets was created by splitting the state farm Topoli from the nearby village of Volodymyrivka. Soon afterwards, the village of Novoselivske was created next to the Komsomolets farm. The farm had of land, 4,288 of which were arable land. 92nd Mechanized Brigade
The 92nd Assault Brigade "Ivan Sirko" ( uk, 92-га окрема штурмова бригада, translit=92 okrema shturmova bryhada), abbreviated 92 OShBr (), is a formation of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. Its honorific name is after Cossack military leader Ivan Sirko. The unit was formed in 1999 as the 6th Mechanized Division based on the 6th Division of the National Guard of Ukraine.
