Koziołek Matołek
Koziołek Matołek ( Silly the Billy-Goat) is a fictional character created by Kornel Makuszyński (story) and Marian Walentynowicz (art) in one of the first and most famous Polish comics back in 1933. It became a cult classic, popular since its creation till today, and becoming an important part of the canon of Polish children's literature. History Makuszyński and Walentynowicz created four books: ''120 przygód Koziołka Matołka'' ("120 adventures of Koziołek Matołek"), ''Druga księga przygód Koziołka Matołka'' ("second book of adventures of Koziołek Matołek"), ''Trzecia księga przygód Koziołka Matołka'' ("third book of adventures of Koziołek Matołek") and ''Czwarta księga przygód Koziołka Matołka'' ("fourth book of adventures of Koziołek Matołek"). Pacanów, the setting of the comic, is a real town in Poland. Kornel Makuszyński
Kornel Makuszyński (; 8 January 1884 – 31 July 1953) was a Polish writer of children's literature, children's and Young adult literature, youth literature. Dorota Piasecka. He was an elected member of the prestigious Polish Academy of Literature in the Second Polish Republic, interwar Poland. Life Makuszyński was born in Stryi, Stryj in the Austrian Partition of Poland (now in Ukraine) to Edward and Julia née Ogonowska. He attended the Jan Długosz gymnasium in Lviv (Polish: ''Lwów''). While in school he wrote occasional poetry (he started writing at the age of 14). Makuszyński had his first poem published in 1902 in the newspaper ''Słowo Polskie'' (''Polish Word''), for which he soon became a theatrical critic. Tintin (; ) is the titular protagonist of ''The Adventures of Tintin'', the comic series by Belgian cartoonist Hergé. The character was created in 1929 and introduced in , a weekly youth supplement to the Belgian newspaper . Appearing as a young man with a round face and quiff hairstyle, Tintin is depicted as a precocious, multitalented reporter who travels the world with his dog Snowy. Since his inception in the early 20th century, Tintin has remained a popular literary figure with statues and commemorative murals of the character seen throughout Belgium. In addition to the original comic series, Tintin has appeared in numerous plays, radio shows, television shows, and feature films, including the Steven Spielberg-directed film ''The Adventures of Tintin'' (2011). As of January 1, 2025, Tintin and other characters appearing in the original 1929 French comic strips entered the public domain in the United States.
