Kowloon Cricket Club
The Kowloon Cricket Club, also called KCC (), is a members only cricket club and social club situated in Kowloon, Hong Kong, on Cox's Road. History The Cricket Club was established on 4 October 1904 and was provided land from the government in King's Park. It competed with local clubs like the Hong Kong Cricket Club, the Craigengower Cricket Club, the Parsee Cricket Club, Royal Engineers, the Army Ordnance Corps CC and the Civil Service CC Royal Army Medical Corps and HMS ''Tamar'' soldiers played with KCC in the South China Morning Post Shield. The foundation stone of the first Clubhouse was laid on 18 January 1908 by the President and benefactor, Sir Hormusjee N. Mody, who was later presented with an engraved silver trowel to mark the occasion. The Kowloon Cricket Club Pavilion was opened by the Governor H.E. Sir Frederick Lugard on 11 July 1908. Frederick John Dealtry Lugard, 1st Baron Lugard (22 January 1858 – 11 April 1945), known as Sir Frederick Lugard between 1901 and 1928, was a British soldier, mercenary, explorer of Africa and colonial administrator. Hong Kong Cricket Sixes
The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is a Six-a-side international cricket tournament held at the Kowloon Cricket Club comprising between eight and twelve teams. Organised by Cricket Hong Kong, it is sanctioned by the International Cricket Council. The tournament is designed for television viewing, with rules and a venue that encourage aggressive batting and high scoring. Because every player (except the wicket-keeper) is required to bowl one over, the format suits all-rounders. Ryan Campbell
Ryan John Campbell (born 7 February 1972) is an Australian former cricketer who represented both Australia and Hong Kong internationally. He is the current head coach of the Dutch national team, having taken on the role in April 2017. Campbell was born in Perth. He made his debut for Western Australia during the 1995–96 season, and initially played as a specialist batsman, with Adam Gilchrist keeping wicket. He later replaced Gilchrist as wicket-keeper following his elevation to the national team in the late 1990s.
