Thermes
Thermes ( el, Θέρμες; tr, Ilıca) is a former community in the Xanthi regional unit, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Myki, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 90.014 km2. It consists of the villages Ano Thermes, Thermes (also called ''Kato Thermes''), Meses Thermes, Medousa, Kidaris, Diasparto, and Kottani. The population of Thermes was around 1396 inhabitants in 1991. In 2011, the population decreased to 812 inhabitants. Thermes is popular for its hot spas, which can be found all around the area. The Turkish name of Thermes is ''ılıca'' which means "spa". Myki ( el, Μύκη, bg, Мустафчово, ''Mustafčovo'') is a municipality in the Xanthi regional unit, Greece. The seat of the municipality is in Sminthi. The majority of the population in the municipality are members of the Turkish Minority. Xanthi (regional Unit)
Xanthi (, el, Περιφερειακή ενότητα Ξάνθης, Turkish: İskeçe) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the Region of East Macedonia and Thrace. The capital is Xanthi. Together with the regional units Rhodope and Evros, it forms the geographical region of Western Thrace. Geography Xanthi borders the Bulgarian provinces of Smolyan and Kardzhali to the north, and the Aegean Sea to the south. The regional unit of Kavala lies to the west, Drama to the northwest and Rhodope to the east. The Rhodope Mountains cover the northern part of the regional unit. The highest point is ''Koula'', at 1,827m. The coastal area has a predominantly Mediterranean climate, whereas the northern mountainous part has a colder continental climate.
