Kosovan Parliamentary Election, 2014
Parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on 8 June 2014, after incumbent Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi announced his intention to hold elections. On 7 May, the Assembly was dissolved and President Atifete Jahjaga confirmed the Election date as 8 June 2014. Results Aftermath Foreign media viewed the election results as "inconclusive". According to the Constitution, "If no one challenges the election results within 24 hours, parliament will have 30 days to convene. The prime minister-designate will then have 15 days to form a government that has the backing of a majority of deputies." Incumbent Prime Minister Hashim Thaci and the PDK were expected to be the first to form government, having won a plurality of the seats in the election. 2010 Kosovan Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on 12 December 2010, following a vote of no-confidence in the government that brought forward the election. Those were the first elections after the country declared independence. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (DPK) of incumbent Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi won a plurality amidst controversies and a partial re-poll, while he was still in the process of trying to form a government. The election was seriously hampered by a number of irregularities and election fraud; and a second poll was held on 9 January 2011 at 21 voting stations in 5 municipalities. The new vote was still positive for Thaçi in 4 out of 5 municipalities. Emilija Redžepi
Emilija Redžepi ( sq, Emilija Rexhepi) is a Kosovan Bosniak politician, and is a member of the New Democratic Party who sits in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo. Career Emilija Redžepi is a Bosniak in Kosovo. She has been critical of the lack of support for Bosniak affairs within Kosovo, speaking at a conference on the Day of Bosniak Community she supported teaching in Bosnian and upholding traditions. As well as being a Member of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, where she is a member of the New Democratic Party, she has spoken of external affairs, encouraging Bosnia and Herzegovina to abandon the requirements for Kosovans to have travel visas to cross the border. Serb List (Kosovo)
The Serb List ( sr, / ; al, Lista Serbe) is a Serb minority political party in Kosovo. It was the dominant Serb party in Kosovo politics, claiming all ten of Assembly seats reserved for the community, from 2014 until all its members resigned and withdrew in 2022. The party retains close links to the Government of Serbia, led by the populist Serbian Progressive Party and President Aleksandar Vučić. Democratic League Of Kosovo
The Democratic League of Kosovo ( sq, Lidhja Demokratike e Kosovës, LDK) is the oldest and one of the largest political parties in Kosovo. At the legislative elections held on 24 October 2004 the party won 45.4% of the popular vote and 47 out of 120 seats, seven of which have defected to the Nexhat Daci-led Democratic League of Dardania. Adem Hodža (; ; born 16 June 1968) is a Kosovan politician who is currently a member of the Assembly of Kosovo. He is the president of the Unique Gorani Party, a Gorani minority political party in Kosovo. He also served as the Provisional President of the Municipality of Gora, which functions in the system of Serbia.
