Koshiro Take
(b. November 3, 1978, in Rittō, Shiga) is a Japanese trainer and ex-jockey. He is the younger brother of Yutaka Take. Take debuted as a jockey in March 1, 1997 at the Hanshin Racecourse. The following day, he won his first race and also his first graded race at the same time, with him winning the Yomiuri Milers Cup while riding ''Osumi Tycoon,'' making him the fastest rookie to win a graded race. He won his first Grade 1 race in 2000 when he won the Shuka Sho with ''Tico Tico Tac,'' but failed to win another Grade 1 race until his victory at the Kikuka Sho with ''Song of Wind'', and wouldn't for another 7 when he won 3 Grade 1 races with ''Meisho Mambo.'' He gained his trainer license in December of 2016, and as JRA rules do not allow jockeys to be trainers at the same time, he retired as a jockey in February of 2017. was a Japanese company that functioned as an Internet service provider and operator of a web portal and blog platform before being brought down by a scandal in 2006. The , also known as the is a Japanese Grade 1 flat horse race for three-year-old thoroughbred fillies run over a distance of 2,400 metres (approximately 1 mile 4 furlongs) at the Tokyo Racecourse, Fuchū, Tokyo in May. History It was first run in 1938 and is the Japanese equivalent of the English Epsom Oaks. Shuka Sho
Shuka ( sa, शुक , also Shukadeva ) is a rishi (sage) in Hinduism. He is the son of the sage Vyasa and the main narrator of the scripture ''Bhagavata Purana''. Most of the ''Bhagavata Purana'' consists of Shuka reciting the story to the king Parikshit in his final days. Shuka is depicted as a sannyasi, renouncing the world in pursuit of moksha (liberation), which most narratives assert that he achieved. Meisho Mambo
Meisho Mambo ( ja, メイショウマンボ, link=no, foaled 25 February 2010) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse who won the second and third legs of the Japanese Fillies' Triple Crown in 2013. She showed some promise as a juvenile in 2012 when winning on her debut. In the following spring she won the Grade II Fillies' Revue and rebounded from a poor run in the Oka Sho to win the Grade I Yushun Himba. She returned in the autumn to win the Shuka Sho before defeating older fillies and mares in the Queen Elizabeth II Commemorative Cup. She won the JRA Award for Best Three-Year-Old Filly of 2013. She stayed in training for three more seasons but failed to win again. The NHK Mile Cup () is a Grade 1 flat horse race in Japan for three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies, run over a distance of 1,600 metres (approximately one mile) on the turf at Tokyo Racecourse in May. The NHK Mile Cup is sponsored by the Japanese public broadcasting organization NHK, and as such, this race is broadcast not only on Fuji TV (one of NHK's competitors) but on one of the NHK channels that cover horse racing (NHK General TV; the other, BS-1, covers certain other races such as the Japan Cup).
