Koshalendraprasad Pande
Koshalendraprasadji Pande (October 1972 – present) is the current acharya of the NarNarayan Dev Gadi of the Swaminarayan Sampraday (15 October 2004 – present) and is the 7th successor of Swaminarayan in the North Diocese (NarNarayan Dev Gadi, Ahmedabad). Biography Koshalendraprasadji Pande was born on 18 October 1972 in Ahmedabad, India. He is the eldest son of Tejendraprasad Pande, the 6th acharya of the NarNarayan Dev Gadi of the Swaminarayan Sampraday. Per tradition in Brahmin households, Pande received his Yajñopavītam, or sacred thread, during the bicentennial celebrations of Swaminarayan in 1981 at Kalupur Swaminarayan Mandir. He studied at St. Xavier School and St. Xavier College in Ahmedabad. He was appointed as acharya on 15 October 2004. Chhapaiya
Chhapaiya is a village in Gonda District in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, about 50 km from the district headquarters of Gonda, and 40 km from Ayodhya. Points of interest It is the birthplace of Swaminarayan. Swaminarayan was born there on 3 April 1781 as Ghanshyam. This village became a pilgrimage destination for his followers worldwide. The Swaminarayan temple at Chhapaiya went through renovation completed by 2016. The Swaminarayan Sampradaya, also known as Swaminarayan Hinduism and Swaminarayan movement, is a Hindu Vaishnava sampradaya rooted in Ramanuja's Vishishtadvaita, characterized by the worship of its charismatic founder Sahajanand Swami, better known as Swaminarayan (1781–1830), as an avatar of Krishna or as the highest manifestation of Purushottam, the supreme God. Tejendraprasad Pande, formally known by his full title as Sanatan Dharma Dhurandar Acharya Maharaj Shree 1008 Tejendraprasadji Maharaj was appointed acharya of the Narnarayan Dev gadi (Ahmedabad) of the Swaminarayan Sampraday, a Hindu sect, by his father, the previous acharya, Devendraprasad, and was enthroned on 13 October 1969.p.82 Biography He took up the responsibilities of the Swaminarayan Sampraday on the orders of Acharya Devendraprasadji from the age of 14 years. Jai Shree Swaminarayan
This serial is a journey on the life of Swaminarayan, which includes places of worship and temples in India and around the world. The show was written and directed by Mulraj Rajda. It is probably the most ambitious initiative taken by Acharya Shree Koshalendraprasadji Maharaj of the Narnarayan Dev Gadi, whose idea and initiative this was. The Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Ahmedabad joined hands with Devang Patel and Devang Patel Entertainment to make this serial. The serial has been broadcast on the SAB TV network in India and Zee TV network around the world in 2002. DVDs of this series are available on shelves. In 2009, Ramanand Sagars Sagar Pictures came out with another serial on Swaminarayan, titled ''Sarvopari Shri Swaminarayan Bhagwaan'' to run on Colours in India.
