Ariyalur () is a town and district headquarters of Ariyalur district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu and is rich in limestone, surrounded with seven cement factories and two sugar factories. Chettimedu is a small village in Sembanarkoil Taluk in the Mayiladuthurai District of Tamil Nadu State, India. This village comes under Pillaiperumanallur Panchayath. A famous temple town, Thirukkadaiyur, walkable from Chettimedu. Thirukkadaiyur is a temple town on the east coast of Tamil Nadu, about 300 km south of Chennai and 15 km north of Karaikal. Madhavaram is a neighbourhood of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Located in the northern part of Chennai, it is also a ''taluk'' in Chennai District and a ''zone'' in Greater Chennai Corporation. It is located in between Perambur and Kodungaiyur. As of 2011, the neighbourhood had a population of 119,105. The Chennai district was expanded on 16 August 2018 by transferring Madhavaram taluk from Tiruvallur district to Chennai district.
