Koropi
Koropi ( el, Κορωπί, ) is a suburban town in East Attica, Greece. It is the seat of the municipality Kropia. It has been home to the new training facilities of Panathinaikos football club since the summer of 2013. Geography Koropi is situated east of the Hymettus mountain, and 16 km southeast of central Athens. It is 8 km southwest of the Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport. The Koropi station is served by Line 3 of the Athens Metro, and the Athens Suburban Railway. Motorway 6 connects Koropi with Athens. Koropi is the largest settlement in the municipality Kropia. Other settlements within Kropia are Karellas to the north, Kitsi to the southwest, and Agia Marina and Agios Dimitrios further south, on the Saronic Gulf coast. Koropi B.C. is a Greek semi-professional basketball club that is based in Koropi, Attica, Greece, is the basketball department of parent multi-sport club "G.S. Koropi" (Greek: ''Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος Κορωπίου''), competes in the Greek B' League the 3rd - tier of Greek Basketball. Koropi ( el, Κορωπί) is an Athens Metro and Suburban Railway station situated at east of the town of Koropi, East Attica in Athens metropolitan area. located in the median strip of the Attiki Odos motorway. The Athens Suburban Railway, ( el, Προαστιακός Αθήνας, Proastiakós Athínas) is a commuter rail service that connects the city of Athens with its metropolitan area and other regions beyond Attica, including Corinthia, Boeotia, Euboea and Achaea. Line 3 (Athens Metro)
Line 3 of the Athens Metro runs from to , via Syntagma, although most of the trains reverse at . Kropia ( el, Κρωπία) is a municipality in East Attica, Greece and has a land area of 102.0 km2. The soil is very fertile (something common in the Mediterranean) and many crops are grown on it, most importantly vineyards, olives, figs, pistachios, honey and vegetables. Its population was 30,307 at the 2011 census. The seat of the municipality is in the town of Koropi (pop. 19,164). Athens Airways
Athens Airways was a Greek regional airline, headquartered in Koropi, Athens. The airline used to connect Alexandroupoli, Athens and Thessaloniki with some Greek islands, as well offering chartered flights. The airline was founded in 2008 and launched scheduled flights on 31 January 2009. In late May 2010 the Greek Civil Aviation Authority stripped Athens Airways of the right to serve a number of government-subsidised routes. Thιs was due to unexplained delays and cancellations by Athens Airways. Later that year, by early September and after concluding its summer schedule, the airline ceased operations without any notice. Georgios Saranti Papasideris ( el, Γεώργιος/Γιώργος Παπασιδέρης, 1875 in Koropi – 1920) was a Greek athlete and weightlifter. Career Papasideris was born in Koropi.
