Koroivos BC
Koroivos B.C. or Koroivos Amaliadas B.C. (alternate spellings: Koroibos Amaliada) (Greek: Κόροιβος Αμαλιάδας KAE), is a Greek professional basketball club that is based in Amaliada, Greece. The club's full name is Athlitikos Syllogos Amaliadas Koroivos (Αθλητικός Σύλλογος Αμαλιάδας Κόροιβος), which is also abbreviated as A.S.A. Koroivos (Α.Σ.Α. Κόροιβος) and it maintains different sport departments. The club's name is in honour of the first stadion race winner of the Ancient Olympic Games, Coroebus of Elis. Club branding A.S. The Greek A2 Basket League ( el, Ελληνική Α2 Μπάσκετ Λιγκ, link=no), is a professional basketball league in Greece. It is the 2nd-tier level of pro competition, among clubs in the country. It is organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). History In the 1986–87 season, the current format for Greek professional basketball, consisting of the A1 National Category and the A2 National Category was formed. The 2014–15 Greek Basket League was the 75th season of the Greek Basket League, the highest tier professional basketball league in Greece. The season started on October 12, 2014 and ended June 14, 2015. Olympiacos won the title, after they beat Panathinaikos 3–0 in the Finals. Sotirios "Sotiris" Gioulekas ( el, Σωτήρης Γκιουλέκας, , born November 28, 1979) is a Greek professional basketball player. He is a 6 ft 7.5 in (2.02 m) tall small forward. Professional career In his pro career, Gioulekas has played with the following clubs: GS Larissas, Olympia Larissa, Baskets Nürnberg. In the later stages of the 2005–06 season he signed for Virtus Bologna. In April 2007 he signed for Orlandina. In July 2007, he signed an annual contract with Veroli. In December 2008 Gioulekas reached an agreement with Brindisi. In 2009, Gioulekas signed for the Italian A2 club Scafati. In 2011, he returned to Greece for third-tier team Aries Trikala. Michalis Giannakidis (alternate spellings: Michail, Mihalis) (Greek: Μιχάλης Γιαννακίδης; born April 6, 1988) is a Greek professional basketball player and current basketball executive. During his club playing career, at a height of is 1.92 m (6'3 ") tall, he played at the shooting guard position. Professional career Giannakidis began his professional club career in the Greek Second Division with MENT, during the 2006–07 season.
