Korman or Kormann is surname derived either from German '' korn'' ("grainseller") or, more likely, from a toponym, perhaps modern-day Karma in Belarus. Korn
Korn (stylized as KoЯn, or occasionally KoRn) is an American nu metal band from Bakersfield, California, formed in 1993. The band is notable for pioneering the nu metal genre and bringing it into the mainstream. Originally formed in 1993 by three members of the band L.A.P.D., Korn's current lineup features founding members James "Munky" Shaffer (guitar); Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bass); Brian "Head" Welch (guitar, backing vocals); and Jonathan Davis (lead vocals, bagpipes), with the addition of Ray Luzier (drums) in 2007, replacing the band's first drummer David Silveria. Korn made a demo tape, ''Neidermayer's Mind'', in 1993, which was distributed free to record companies and on request to members of the public. Their debut album '' Korn'' was released in 1994, followed by ''Life Is Peachy'' in 1996. Maxime Carlot Korman (born 26 April 1941) is a Vanuatuan politician, formerly serving as the speaker of the Parliament and formerly as acting president. He served as the prime minister of Vanuatu for nearly five years, first from 16 December 1991 to 21 December 1995 and again from 23 February 1996 to 30 September 1996. He was a member of the Union of Moderate Parties during his terms as prime minister, but now leads the Vanuatu Republican Party. Peter Kormann
Peter Kormann (born June 21, 1955) is an American retired gymnast and gymnastics coach. In the 1976 Olympics, he became the first American to medal in competition against the Soviets when he won a bronze medal in the men's floor competition. Kormann's bronze medal was also the first Olympic medal of any type won by an American gymnast in 44 years. Kormann competed for Southern Connecticut State University under coach Abie Grossfeld. In 1977, Kormann won the Nissen Award (the "Heisman" of men's gymnastics).
