Bülent Korkmaz (born 24 November 1968), colloquially known by his given nicknames "Büyük Kaptan" () and "Cengaver" (), is a Turkish former professional footballer and current manager of TFF First League club Çaykur Rizespor. Korkmaz was a one club man during his club career, playing as a centre-back for Galatasaray for his whole career for 18 consecutive seasons between 1987 and 2005, winning 8 Süper Lig, 6 Turkish Cup, 5 Turkish Super Cup,1 UEFA Cup and 1 UEFA Super Cup titles. Bülent Korkmaz (born March 5, 1975) is a Turkish Paralympian archer competing in the Men's compound bow event. Early life Bülent Korkmaz was born on March 5, 1975. He lives in Biga town of Çanakkale Province, where he is employed by the municipality. Mahsum Korkmaz
Mahsum Korkmaz, also known as Agit (Kurmanji: Egîd) (1956 – 28 March 1986), was the first commander of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)'s military forces. Korkmaz moved to Lebanon in 1979 and alongside Kemal Pir was responsible for the recruitment across Turkey. He is known to have led the 15 August 1984 PKK attacks which was the start of the PKK's armed rebellion for Kurdish independence. He was killed by Turkish forces on 28 March 1986. The PKK's main training facility during the 1980s and early 1990s, the Mahsum Korkmaz Academy, which was located in Beqaa Valley in Lebanon was named after him. Mert Zeki Korkmaz (born 16 August 1971) is a retired Turkish footballer. Early life Korkmaz was born in 1971. He is younger brother of Bülent Korkmaz, a football player. Career Korkmaz played as a defender, and was known for his fighting spirit and professional approach to the game. A product of Galatasaray S.K.'s youth system, Mert played there from 1993 to 1997.
