Kori Cheverie
Kori Cheverie (born June 18, 1987) is a Canadian retired ice hockey player, currently serving as assistant coach of the Canadian national women's ice hockey team and of the Ryerson Rams men's ice hockey team. She was the first woman to be hired to a full-time coaching role in U Sports men's ice hockey history. Cheverie's playing career was spent with the Saint Mary's Huskies women's ice hockey team in the Atlantic University Sport conference of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS; renamed U Sports in 2016) and with the Toronto Furies of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL), with whom she won the 2014 Clarkson Cup. The Italy women's national ball hockey team is the women's national ball hockey team of Italy, and a member of the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF). Erica Howe (born July 17, 1992) is an ice hockey goaltender, currently with the PWHPA. As a member of the gold medal winning squad at the 2010 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship, a hockey card of her was featured in the Upper Deck 2010 World of Sports card series. Natalie Spooner
Natalie Marie Spooner (born October 17, 1990) is a Canadian ice hockey player for the now defunct Toronto Furies, who played for the Canadian National women's ice hockey team from 2007 to 2008, and rejoined the program in 2010. Spooner was the first player to play for the Canadian National Women's Team, the National Women's Under-22 Team and its Under-18 Team. Jennifer Botterill, (born May 1, 1979) is a Canadian former women's hockey player and current hockey broadcast television analyst who played for Harvard University, the Canadian national team, the Mississauga Chiefs, and the Toronto Aeros. The 2010–11 Toronto CWHL season was the first season for the team that became known as the Toronto Furies at the end of the season. The Canadian Women's Hockey League underwent a restructuring prior to the 2010–11 CWHL season that led to the folding of three teams and the creation of a new Toronto team. It also head held its first draft in 2010 for its three Greater Toronto Area teams, where the Toronto CWHL team protected former Mississauga Chiefs' players Jennifer Botterill and Sami Jo Small. Captain (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, the captain is the player designated by a team as the only person authorized to speak with the game officials regarding rule interpretations when the captain is on the ice. At most levels of play each team must designate one captain and a number of alternate captains (usually two or three) who speak to the officials when the captain is on the bench. Captains wear a "C" on their sweaters, while alternate captains wear an "A". Officially captains have no other responsibility or authority, although they may, depending on the league or individual team, have various informal duties, such as participation in pre-game ceremonies or other events outside the game.
