Kordali Language
Kordali (Kurdali), also known as Il-e Kurd and Palai, is one of the Kurdish languages. It is often counted as a dialect of Southern Kurdish, but is quite distinct. It is spoken by the large Kordali tribe in the borderlands between Iraq and Iran. Geography Kordali is principally spoken in parts of Ilam Province in Iran including in Abdanan, Dehloran, Meymeh and Pahleh. In Iraq, the dialect is spoken in Ali Al-Gharbi in Maysan Governorate and Shayk Sa'd in Wasit Governorate Wasit Governorate () is a governorate in eastern Iraq, south-east of Baghdad and bordering Iran. Abdanan
Abdanan () is a city in the Central District (Abdanan County), Central District of Abdanan County, Ilam province, Ilam province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. Populated by a majority of Kurds, the county's previous capital was the village of Sarabbagh, now a city. Demographics Language and ethnicity The city is populated by Kurds with a Lurs, Luri minority. Population At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 21,662 in 4,618 households. The following census in 2011 counted 22,901 people in 5,536 households. Wasit Governorate
Wasit Governorate () is a governorate in eastern Iraq, south-east of Baghdad and bordering Iran. Prior to 1976 it was known as Kut Province. Major cities include the capital Al-Kut, Al-Hai and Al-Suwaira. The governorate contains the Mesopotamian Marshes of Shuwayja, Al-Attariyah, and Hor Aldelmj. Maysan Governorate
Maysan Governorate () is a governorate in southeastern Iraq, bordering Iran. Its administrative centre is the city of Amarah, and it is composed of six districts. Ali Al-Gharbi District
Ali Al-Gharbi () is a district of the Maysan Governorate in Iraq. History John Gordon Lorimer wrote in 1908 that the main town of Ali Al-Gharbi was inhabited by 2,000 people of different origins, mostly Shia Muslims and was a market town of the Banu Lam Arab tribe. It was one of the principal towns for trade with Iraqi Kurdistan and many Kurds from Iran would visit the town to 'satisfy their wants'. Lorimer moreover wrote that many Kurds had settled in the town. Dehloran () is a city in the Central District of Dehloran County, Ilam province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and of the district.
