''Koptothrips'' is a genus of thrips in the family Phlaeothripidae, first described by Richard Siddoway Bagnall in 1929.Bagnall, R.S. 1929. On some new genera and species of Australian Thysanoptera (Tubulifera) with special reference to gall-species. They kill the ''Kladothrips'' adults but feed on the gall.
