Alexander Kops
Alexander Kops (born 23 November 1984) is a Dutch politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives since 2017. A member of the Party for Freedom (PVV), a nationalist, right-wing populist political party in the Netherlands. He previously was a member of the Senate from 2014 to 2017. Biography Kops was born on 23 November 1984 in Leidschendam. In 2003 he obtained his propaedeutics as a German language teacher at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Kops then studied German at Leiden University between 2004 and 2009. He started as a German teacher at a high school in Leiderdorp in 2008. In the 2010 general election, he stood for the Party for Freedom, but as he was number 27 on the list he was not chosen. His contract at the high school was not renewed. Bernard Kops (born 28 November 1926) is a British dramatist, memoirist, poet and novelist. Early life Born in the East End of London, the son of Dutch-Jewish immigrants, Kops was evacuated from London in 1939, and recounted that experience in episode two of Thames Television’s TV series, ''The World at War'', first broadcast in 1973. Career His first play, ''The Hamlet of Stepney Green'', was produced at the Oxford Playhouse in 1957. It is considered to be one of the keystones of the "New Wave" in British 'kitchen sink' drama. Erland Kops (14 January 1937 – 18 February 2017) was a badminton player from Denmark who won numerous major international singles and doubles titles from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. Early life Kops was born in 1937. His uncles were the boxers Ebbe and Poul Kops who both competed at the Summer Olympics. Erland Kops began to play badminton in Københavns Badminton Klub in 1948. He worked for East Asiatic Company in Thailand from 1958 to 1960. Jan Kops (6 March 1765 Amsterdam - 9 January 1849 Utrecht) was an Anabaptist Dutch agronomist and botanist. His most notable contribution to botany was the founding of the long-lived journal "''Flora Batava''" in 1800 and contributing text for the first 10 volumes. Biography Jan Kops was the son of Jacobus Kops, a yarn merchant, and Hillegond Schotvanger, both conservative Old Frisian Mennonites. Raquel Atawo (née Kops-Jones; born December 8, 1982) is an American former professional tennis player, who is currently the head woman's tennis coach for the Washington State Cougars.
