Konrad Walk
Konrad Walk (born 1 July 1965 in Vils, Tyrol) is a Austrian politician and former alpine skier who won the Europa Cup overall title in 1988. Sporting Career During his career he has achieved 7 results among the top 10 in the World Cup and was 9th at the 1991 Alpine Ski World Championships. Political Career In 2015, Walk was elected Mayor of the town of Hochfilzen. Prior, to this, he had served 6 years as vice-mayor of the same town. Vils, Tyrol
Vils is a town in the district of Reutte in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It has a long, rich history of ten or more generations of excellent luthiers. Most prominent among those of the Rief (or Ruef) family is Dominicus Rief. Examples of his work are in the museum there. Geography Vils lies on the German border with Bavaria.
