Kongelig Kammersanger
Kongelige Kammersangere or The Royal Chamber Singer is a prestigious award given to Danish Opera singers by the monarch. Only about 50 people have received the award since it was started in 1700. The first non-native Danish person who was appointed as a royal chamber singer was the Italian Giuseppe Siboni, who in 1819 received Danish citizenship and became director of the Royal Theatre. Emilie Ulrich
Emilie Ulrich (''née'' Boserup) (26 November 1872 – 31 January 1952) was a Danish soprano who sang leading roles at the Royal Danish Opera from 1894 until her retirement from the stage in 1917. She was born in Frerslev, a small town near Haslev in the Zealand Region and made her stage debut on 9 May 1894 as Margherita in Arrigo Boito's ''Mefistofele'' at the Kongelige Teater in Copenhagen . Amongst the roles she created there were Michal in Carl Nielsen's ''Saul og David'' (1902) and Leonora in Nielsen's '' Maskarade'' (1906). Lauritz Melchior
Lauritz Melchior (20 March 1890 – 18 March 1973) was a Danish-American opera singer. He was the preeminent Wagnerian tenor of the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s and has come to be considered the quintessence of his voice type. Late in his career, Melchior appeared in movie musicals and on radio and television. He also made numerous recordings. Lilly Lamprecht
Lilly Lamprecht née Camradt (1887–1976) was a Danish operatic soprano. She made her début at the Royal Danish Theatre in 1911 in the title role of '' Liden Kirsten''. Her roles included ''Madame Butterfly'', Cherubino in '' The Marriage of Figaro'' and Micaëla in '' Carmen''. She left the company in 1931 but returned in 1933 to perform Marguerite in ''Faust''. Ingeborg Nørregaard Hansen
Ingeborg Nørregaard Hansen (1874–1941) was a Danish operatic soprano who débuted at the Royal Danish Theatre in 1899 as Senta in '' The Flying Dutchma''. In 1901, she was engaged by the company, initially standing in for other singers. Niels Jacob Hansen
Niels Jacob Hansen (March 23, 1880 – September 19, 1969) was a Danish tenor, mostly famous for his roles in opera. Career Niels Hansen studied as an artist but turned to singing and trained with Valdemar Lincke in Copenhagen, who discovered that the young singer held great potential. He made arrangements to train at the Royal Danish Academy of Music from 1906 to 1908. He made his debut in Copenhagen as Rodolfo in a 1909 production of ''La Boheme'' at the Danish Royal Theatre, starting a career as one its favorite tenors for forty years. Johanne Brun
Johanne Marie Emilie Brun née Prieme (1874–1954) was a Danish operatic soprano. She made her début at the Royal Danish Theatre in 1896 as the Queen of the Night in ''The Magic Flute''. In 1916, after being honoured with the title of Royal Chamber Singer, she sang at opera houses in Germany, becoming a favourite of the Nuremberg opera and later performing in Aachen and Danzig. Margrethe Lendrop
Anna Margrethe Lendrop née Boeck (1873–1920) was a Danish operatic soprano who performed at the Royal Danish Theatre from 1898 to 1919. She is remembered above all for her title role in '' Carmen'' which she performed a total of 131 times. Hortensia (Tenna) Kristine Sofie Erogine Kraft née Frederiksen (1885–1954) was a Danish operatic soprano.
